TWSBI ECO Black vs Montblanc Meisterstück 149

Personally, I like the TWSBI eco for its large ink capacity and comfort. It has a good weight to it and there are beautiful colors! :)

I very much enjoy using the 149. As someone with bigger hands, it's perfect for my writing style. It feels solid but not heavy to hold, and the ink flow is very smooth. I used the 146 for years, but once I got a chance to write with the 149, there was no going back

It uses cartridges, but doesn’t come with a converter. The TWSBI Eco is a great pen that may be more than you are thinking of spending ($30) but is a really nice pen that could be a buy it once and done. It is only bottle fill, and that adds about $10 for ink, but the pen is great and hold a lot of ink. Depending on your use this can be a factor

Fortunately, because the 149 is a standard classic, you can usually find a good used one for \~50-70% of the MSRP which makes it a much more attractive option (in general, not just compared to a lifetime supply of Jinhao 159's).

I really really enjoy writing with this pen. I got a Pilot Metropolitan last year so when I initially picked this one up, I was a little put off by how light it felt in comparison. but after a few weeks of using it I'm super happy with the weight difference - this one really glides across the page (in a Clairefontaine notebook) and it's really nice to be able to switch between a lighter pen and a weightier one. it is also of course very cool & useful to see how much ink is left in the pen

Lovely pen with a nice heft. It can be posted or not, depending on your preference (I prefer not posted). Because my method of writing is printing, I chose the EF nib. It is a smooth writer, with just a hint of scratch (which I like)
