Tudor Black Bay 58 vs Oris 65

After seeing the Tudor Black Bay 58 on social media I had to go into an AD and see one for myself. Went to the closest AD and found one on their nato strap, tried it on, and fell in love! But I did not buy it on site. I had to try it on the bracelet before pulling the trigger.

After posting my oris 65 about one week ago on Reddit and asking recommendations where to buy good quality nato straps I went with Watchgeko. It arrived today after 6 days which is quick considering brexit and delivering it to Europe :). But this one really hits the spot in my opinion with the Bordeaux? Red and bronze.

In the end, for me, it felt more my style than a sub and has a bit more unique character to it. My favorite element is the contrast between the matte dial and the gilt shiny hands and marker surrounds.

It's definitely a dimmer application, but it's still plenty legible. And I I love the font. I I actually really like this style more so than the newer...

I love the design and attention to detail this watch has, plus the fact that if you change the strap to a brown leather or even fabric it can be matched with more casual wear. 38mm with the calibre 400 and I believe 2 firsts in the Diver 65 line: a gradient sunburst dial and relief markers on the bezel. I feel Oris has really upped it’s dial game with this watch and the recent Cervo Volante Big Crown Pointer dates giving a modern element to these vintage inspired watches. Oris creates a lot of limited editions, but they seem to constantly try new things with them which is really cool to observe, what to you think?.

A lot has been said about this one but it really is close to perfection. Timekeeping wise this is the most accurate mechnical watch I've owned, in a week it had gained 4 seconds which is really awesome.

-Ideally 38mm, absolutely no more than 40mm (48 L2L), but ideally 38mm. -On a bracelet that must have female endlinks; the more taper the better. -Blue, or blue elements on the dial or bezel. Runner up is the Oris Diver 65; just don’t love that it’s 40mm
