Tudor Black Bay 58 vs Invicta Pro Diver

After seeing the Tudor Black Bay 58 on social media I had to go into an AD and see one for myself. Went to the closest AD and found one on their nato strap, tried it on, and fell in love! But I did not buy it on site. I had to try it on the bracelet before pulling the trigger.

The watch band has received some negative reviews and I am not sure why. It is a thick, heavy-weight band and is of much higher quality than what was was furnished with any of the other Submariner homage watches that I have owned (by comparison, the one on the Orient was terrible to the point that it had to be replaced). Some don't like the shiny center kinks on the provided band, but I do. It looks good and has been durable so far

In the end, for me, it felt more my style than a sub and has a bit more unique character to it. My favorite element is the contrast between the matte dial and the gilt shiny hands and marker surrounds.

Given everything in totality, the positive far exceeds my minor disappointments, especially for the price. I'm optimistic and hopeful that it'll last, as I really like the look, style, and feel of this watch, especially for $75 rather than $7500! If you have any specific questions, just let me know!

I love the design and attention to detail this watch has, plus the fact that if you change the strap to a brown leather or even fabric it can be matched with more casual wear. wear it a while and decide if the design and function suits you. For less than $80, you cannot go far wrong and, if it turns out that you like the design of a divers sport watch, you can always upgrade to a better watch of similar design later. I hope this is helpful to someone

In terms of watch for dollars, it's a terrible bargain. It's obviously great in resale terms, but I don't wear watches for the next owner. I'd take a lightly used Pelagos or Planet Ocean (both around $4k) before spending my money on a Submariner. Or a BB58 if it fit my wrist

Hot take I think Invicta Pro Diver is a good value at their market price. They are sub $100 auto with a good movement and pretty good fit and finish.

A lot has been said about this one but it really is close to perfection. Timekeeping wise this is the most accurate mechnical watch I've owned, in a week it had gained 4 seconds which is really awesome.

You need to examine and test the watch thoroughly within Amazon's 30-day return period.

Perfect travel watch. I take this and this watch only on all of my overseas travel – functional, robust, don’t have to stress about banging it up, don’t have to worry about it getting stolen.

With the screw down crown & the performance of my 8932, I am confident it will be fine in water. I found the pins on the band too difficult to remove to adjust the bracelet. I just took it to my 'watch guy' & had him do it for me. There are adjustment tools you can buy online for about 5 bucks if you want to do it yourself

my take: the everyday watch gotta have a date, preferably day/date, *at least* 100m water resistance, crazy comfortable to wear, good in every outfit (unless you have a particular watch for dressy occasions). anything from Sinn is a good idea, but you can also look at the Tudor Black Bay 58, if you don't own it already. oh and Yema makes some excellent divers that are usually in the 1k bucks range.

My old Pulsar watch has the same issue. It’s a great feature to have that my Seiko is missing.
