The adjustment on the pepper size is something I do feel you have to play with a little by twisting the knob at the top. It takes a little work to get the perfect size you are after. I do wish it was as simple as a click and set type of mechanism, but overall I would say its the most bang for your buck and it seems like it should hold up. I will see if the quality is a lasting one soon enough

I ordered the pepper mill first to replace a worn out mill and liked it so decided to get this matching salt mill. They both work beautifully, and the natural cherry finish coordinates with our kitchen. I gave them four stars because if I was buying in person, I would have not picked these particular items off the shelf. The pepper mill arrived with a few surface dings, but the finish and color of the parts match

At the very least it should ship completely surrounded by bubble wrap that has been secured to prevent damage in shipping. Otherwise, it's the product I was looking for: something that works well and looks as if it will last a while.

Grinds pepper fine, as far as I can tell over a few days, but the grinder and the wood outside just isn't good quality. Going to dish out more money for something nicer, probably a Peugeot -- if you go with wood I'd recommend something nice instead of cheap :)

I’m not a woodworker but I’m not completely ignorant either. Maybe I expected too much from something sold on amazon. It’s wood but it’s been finished to the point that i thought it was plastic when i first picked it up. The color of the stain is off as well

Wish it was a tad bigger . I use this daily and has held up well so far. The only thing is it had a small amount of peppercorns upon arrival. That was a little strange but not a big deal

you end up grabbing the top edge which feels uncomfortable. You could grab the neck, but, your hand better be about 3 inches across..
