 No thumb hole, but it’s thin stock like a Delica or Chaparral but a bit more “premium” feeling (if that makes sense) and the made in America part is appealing. Some people don’t like the Atom or a Neutron due to how thin the handles are but I think they feel nice.

Little folder collection picture. Judging by my taste, what’s missing?

 It is really amazing and in fact the neutron for a long time has been the knife i would reach for or the atom, but it's been the knife i would reach for if i'm doing something that requires very very nice slicing like, for instance, cutting foam inserts Or something like that like, if i'm doing he says tearing apart his review setup, if i'm cutting kaizen foam or something oh man, is the neutron, a good idea for that so anyways um. This continues that tradition and it's just even nicer in the grind than the original we see. If we look at the heel of the blade here, they are just a little tiny bit thinner behind the edge on the new one over here and that's just great same things at the tip here, just a little bit skinnier. This is a slicey beast and i love that uh knives should cut, especially smaller ones, should slice like crazy, and that is a beautiful thing

 This fits entirely within the footprint of the delica, so to speak, so the delica is already a reasonably compact knife in the pocket. This guy is more compact still so there's your delica here. It is against the ontario rat number two here, as well as against the spider-copm2, and what we see here is that this is a reasonably compact little knife, although in terms of sharpen blade length, we're not that far off the pm2 there. Hey everybody, nick here and today i got a review for you this little guy right here. This is the trm knives, uh neutron, three rivers manufacturing neutron number two, the second version of it first off in the name of full disclosure. I purchased this guy directly from the maker um. I did pay for it, of course, because small business might as well support them right, but at the same time uh you know these are hard to get, and so that's definitely a bit of favor um

 It'S still among the better deals and made in the usa knife making and it's still a great value honestly. I would still pay more than this do not raise the price again drm, but i don't want to just gloss over a price hike because that's really disappointing, watching the entire market just hiking and hiking and hiking - and i know that it's getting more expensive to make Things etc, but dude, that's rough, then. Finally, on the bad side, the carbon fiber on this guy, although i like the attractiveness of it very much - is very very grippy and one of the areas where it's grippy is under this clip and the clip here is a reasonably tight little clip here so uh Having this very textured carbon fiber right under this very tight clip ends up, meaning that you well. This is a little tricky to extract from the pocket

 The reason for that is that I have a flashlight that I like very much. It'S called the thrunite neutron. I'M in DRM starts with that. The T is well Three Rivers thrunite, Oh God

 So I'm glad I went carbon fiber on this guy and finally on the bad side of the availability on these guys is very for lack of a better term, its batchi. They make these guys in small batches as they probably need to, and then they go for sale and they sell out in you know two seconds or whatever, and then you you wait another couple of months for the next batch to hit um. Look I get it. I'M sure it's hard to make enough of these box, but I really hope that they start making more of these guys

 What do you couple it with a very nice clip here, which is you know, a straightforward, totally sort of clip that carries relatively deeply God these things easy to carry? This is one of those knives you put in your pocket and you just forget about it until you need a knife, then you got a knife, then you put it back in your pocket, you forget about it again. It is great great great to carry and I fell in love with that. Absolutely a hundred percent. So, although it was kind of a toss-up to me as to whether I was gon na call that the thin and like this great or the thin blade stock, either way it's great and so um to me, that's what's great here is the thinness and the lightness Here, on the bad side, couple of little issues, I'm have to start with a blade length

 What is actually great, or at least what I'm calling great here is. Actually, the fact that this is so damn nice to carry this is a super thin knife. If we put this up next to the Spyderco delica, you can see that the the the neutron here is actually thinner overall in the body, then the Spyderco delica, which is sort of a paragon of carry ability, um and then coupled with that blade stock. This is just really really nice and it's also very lightweight I'm not

 Um because look at other companies giving you similar materials, you know titanium and um 20 cv cost you 500 bucks from a lot of companies in america. So um. I think the price is fantastic. Honestly, they are a little thinner and smaller and everything than those knives

 With this thing, that's where i've gotten in trouble with trm knives, uh trying to take them apart, put them back together. The tolerances are so tight because of how thin it is that it's just an absolute pain in the ass i've had so many problems with the atoms i've had well. I had one atom that i took apart and tried to put back together and swap scales and it just was a nightmare. I could never get it back to where it was and then, if i did it, never stayed that way for long uh

 For me uh, i don't i just don't enjoy it to me these knives just scream. You know small office carry backup knife uh. That kind of thing right and the atom is kind of trying to play that game where it's a little bit bigger and uh. Maybe we could do some hard work with this thing right and that's not what i it's just, not what i imagined for a trm knife um

.. You’re getting an M390 flipper, designed by two well-respected makers, made to the exacting standards of (again what I assume to be) Lionsteel, for less than $200. Pretty hard to beat that these days, in my opinion

 You’re getting an M390 flipper, designed by two well-respected makers, made to the exacting standards of (again what I assume to be) Lionsteel, for less than $200. Pretty hard to beat that these days, in my opinion. 

GiantMouse has opted to offer two handle material options for the ACE Biblio, either black G10 (which is accompanied by a satin blade finish) or green micarta (which comes with a stonewashed blade) both of which offer a nice grip and texture. The lines of the handle really lend themselves to locking into the hand, however, I do find that the grip itself is a little on the shorter side, with my pinky falling off the end—this is fixed if I choke up on the knife and utilize the large choil on the blade.

The steel choice of M390 comes as an expected choice—the GiantMouse Knives are made in Maniago Italy by, I assume, Lionsteel who uses M390 in a lot of their models (Editor: I think Viper makes it, but I could always be wrong). I personally love this steel, it’s elementally similar to 20CV but manifests a finer grain that becomes apparent once you start sharpening it. I’ve always big a huge fan of M390 and request it whenever possible in custom orders. It’s been a solid performer, is very stain/wear resistant, and holds an edge well

The Biblio’s blade can best be described as a nicely bellied Wharncliffe. The blade has an ascending angle from the handle and terminates at a nice fine point. A nice thing about this shape is that when the edge is flat on a surface, the handle is raised above, allowing you to utilize the full length of the cutting edge without your hand interfering.

 I can tell you this that the m390 does it features high, wear and corrosion resistance. That'S always good. It'S also a fine grained alloy. Now the finer, the grains when they're when they're making the steel is going to reduce the chance of fractures in that in that blade right, and so i do like the fact that it is a fine-grained alloy

 Now i like m390, a lot uh. It is one of my favorite steels. I can tell you this that the m390 does it features high, wear and corrosion resistance. That'S always good

 You wanted to hold it, so it's very comfortable, but would i be comfortable using it hard use with this type of grip? No, probably not so the grip on the knife is it's just important because uh who cares if you've checked all the other boxes and you've got the right steel that you want. You'Ve got the right, look that you want and it just fidgets well and all that, but if you can't hang on to it, if you do really need it, then it's basically useless to you. So the grip on a knife is very, very important. The jimping is a little further up

 It has been smooth. I'Ve got zero issues with that pivot system other than in this particular case. This pivot loosened up on me during my carry, and so i don't know if this is going to be a knife that i'm just going to have to continually tune up, which i don't have a problem with necessarily, but i intentionally did not adjust it until this Video, like i said, to give a complete honest review of what my findings were now: the blade steel, the blade steel on this is bowler m390 micro clean. It is not labeled anywhere on the blade, however, it is going to be
