This is a repeat purchase, not as a replacement but as a backup. The Totes umbrella is exactly what I think a good umbrella should be. The construction is sturdy, the materials are substantial, and it feels like it will be around for a good long while. This is not a throw-away umbrella

 It's past the return window so I can't exchange it, other than that it's a great umbrella.

Really Great Idea

I really wanted this to be bigger. My other inbrella has a larger surface so I stay dryer. This is pretty small for anyone who needs to walk move than from curb to car.

I love the color and appearance of this umbrella including the nice wooden “J” shaped handle. I haven’t had the need to use it yet (a good thing I guess; let the rains start after this cold snowy winter is over). I did open it to test the mechanism and it opened fine; closing it was easy as well. I love being able to hook it on my bag strap and walk with it handsfree or put it in the handle of a briefcase. I bought a babyjogger city elite when I had my first kid 11 years ago, and it's handled everything the next 3 kids could throw at it for more than a decade. we used the thing whenever we needed max comfort/capability/storage and it was the MVP of every theme park trip / vacation / intl trip for more than 10 years. 

i love the foam filled tires--doing tube jobs for stroller wheels suck. The frame looks as good as new, fabric looks great--nothing ever broke on this stroller.

I did a search in this sub to make sure this wasn’t a repeat or common question, and haven’t seen anything more recent than a few years! But delete if I missed it.

You guys killed it with wedding registry suggestions so now I’m looking for opinions on our new baby’s stroller.

I’m willing to splurge on this, if I need to.

These two things might matter:
We live in North Georgia in a neighborhood with a ton of hills. We walk a LOT and go on  hikes quite a lot. Not looking for the 4Runner of strollers, but we do take dirt paths a lot.

We want more kids so bonus points if it allows for a second child later on.

I’ve been looking at the UPPAbaby but a lot of people say it’s a status symbol and not that good. Is that true? I also hate that there’s a billion attachments needed to make the stroller actually function. Reminds me of an Apple product.

Lastly, and this is just my own confusion, but do most strollers come with the bassinet? I had no idea a baby needed to lay down flat for the first six months 🤦🏽‍♀️ but thinking about it, I swear I never see strollers with bassinets. That was news to me.

So I guess I need a lightweight, long lasting stroller with a bassinet and car seat attachment.
