Thus, making it easy to put the bag down on the floor when not carrying it. -comfortable carry-on bag that is designed as a minimal backpack. Can be incognito from budget airlines and can blend into a crowd of people in a city without looking like a tourist

The most comfortable pack is typically the one with nothing in it. 😊 Under load though, from my collection it'd be the Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 24.

I would like to be able to put the bag down and not be forced to lay it flat on the back or lean it against something to prevent it from falling over. I would love it if it had a flat bottom or one that would allow it to stand up on its own when you set it on the ground.

They really need to design a hip belt that is proportionately sized for this bag. Still, there are only two or three other companies that make a bag that fits ALL these requirements. Others came close, but were either missing the pass through, or did not have attachment hooks for a shoulder strap, top loading instead of suitcase style, etc.

Less roomy in the main compartment and laptop compartment than expected. I find pulling the top to open more difficult than convenient. I would recommend reversing the direction of the inside mesh pocket zippers on the side flaps of the main compartment as they are difficult to access quickly. Would also recommend a small area of MOLLE and a small area of Velcro on a portion of the exterior of the bag

* The harness and backpack straps are brilliant. The padding on the back allows for plenty of air to pass through while supporting the lower back and base of neck. The straps are plush and breathable thanks to the perforations found throughout. Whether hiking or urban exploring, the back harness was exceptional

Bought about a month ago. Love the bag. Loses 1 star due to the left shoulder strap coming loose on its own occasionally.

So without a case, this pocket will hold a 15” laptop and with a case, a 13” laptop should fit just fine.

I like the laptop compartment and how it’s separate from the rest of the bag. I do however wish the bag was made of a more flexible material to be able to form and shape according to what’s inside. It is a bit stiff and seems to scuff fairly easy. Although the scuffs do give it more of a vintage look so I can’t complain much

I hopped on and off buses, the subway, and walked around. I’m 62 years old and the Tortuga bag is a game changer.

I bought the UA 24 as a bike commuter bag and briefcase substitute ( I also have the MR 3-way briefcase but could not carry a thermos/water bottle well). The quality and attention matched what I expect from Mystery Ranch. However, the external pockets barely fit a Kleen Kanteen/Hydroflask etc. 32oz bottle that are very mainstream right now
