 The entire inner part of the lock started sliding out (where you can see the pins inside) so I just shoved it back in and I guess I won’t be taking the seat off anymore. I also find it impractical to need a key for a product like this in the first place. It’s cumbersome to keep track of a key when they should have just made it a built in latch instead. Pretty inconvenient

This seat is great! Expensive? A little, yes, but it is amazing, it is light very, strong and the quick release makes it super convenient! You can go from take a ride with your toddler to down hill/ cross country in couple seconds. The limited steering angle is true but honestly you don’t need that much when riding with a kid on the bike. Super recommend!

2 mountain bike tire for excellent capability off-road, most relaxed and upright riding position. Poseidon redwood at $950, least good on pavement but most capable off-road with the ability to clear a 27.5 x 2.8 mountain bike tire!

Please don’t laugh too hard at my question, but here goes: are REI’s Co-Op Cycles DRT bikes (leaning toward 1.2) suitable for gravel riding? If not what do you recommend as an alternative at a similar price point? (Max budget 1200-1300)

I’m a Gravel Riding Beginner and Need Help Getting Started

The geometry will be better suited for comfort over long distances and they are built to handle what you describe much better than a full suspension mountain bike. Poseidon Redwood is a good value budget option.

I ride a combination of things and want a “do it all” bike. I ride local bike paths (paved, along a river), old converted rail trails (flat and gravel) and the odd trip to a bike path (nothing extreme, mainly single tracks and basic downhill).

Rides can range from 5km to 25km. Currently on an old giant hard tail and looking to upgrade, but wondering if the stance 29 2 will suit the longer local rides (current bike is uncomfortable after about 10km).
