 The entire inner part of the lock started sliding out (where you can see the pins inside) so I just shoved it back in and I guess I won’t be taking the seat off anymore. I also find it impractical to need a key for a product like this in the first place. It’s cumbersome to keep track of a key when they should have just made it a built in latch instead. Pretty inconvenient

This seat is great! Expensive? A little, yes, but it is amazing, it is light very, strong and the quick release makes it super convenient! You can go from take a ride with your toddler to down hill/ cross country in couple seconds. The limited steering angle is true but honestly you don’t need that much when riding with a kid on the bike. Super recommend!

 Since then, now we're seeing on a 513 8:30, so the idea behind that is, you can use this battery pack, which locks on at the bottom of the unit itself, and that just takes you a heck of a lot longer for a battery standpoint. This 530 here has 20 hours of battery life and goes over 40 hours in battery saver mode by itself. So you add the battery pack there and you're talking more than doubling that time frame. So the next time there's a bit of a downside

 That'S like their fifteen hundred two thousand dollar GPS watch and is now on this as well, and what that does it goes that figures out how acclimated you are to give it a high temperature or a given high altitude, and does this using a bunch of kind Of pre published studies and whatnot, and it shows you on the unit itself, what percentage you are acclimated to that particular altitude level or that particular temperature range next on the list is, and we design training plan and structure to work out a kind of program on This compare to past units so a couple weeks ago, at the Garmin Connect IQ summit, they announced the ability to do training plans for different providers like training, peaks and Shriner Road. Those can now push to all units, including the edge 5:30 and 8:30, but in addition, they've kind of redesigned a bit about how you do these structure workouts. So you see more feedback around what your targets are and how you're achieving those particular karaagac targets. So then we redesigned there

 Instead, I want to focus on all these new things and starting off with probably the most, maybe not necessarily important, but I think it is sort of the most important one which is faster processing the biggest complaint I had on the edge 5 20 plus a year Ago, when they added maps to it was the fact that it was so bloody slow for processing. In fact, that's actually why I told people not to buy it a year ago, because here in Amsterdam, and I try to route somewhere, I'd spent like five to ten minutes waiting before I can even go because it was just so slow now it is much much Much much much faster government said they sped up the processing twice as fast. I think it's actually faster than that in some scenarios and it seems to depend on where you are so here in Amsterdam to do a 50k or so route. It took about 30 or so seconds to route that to figure that out on the unit itself versus allow is, in Monterey, California doing a route that was about the same duration

Garmin Edge 530 Review: 15 New Things To Know!

 The latter was great with the technology, but covered many different modes of transportation. I imagined that Wahoo or Hammerhead would "understand" the needs of the cyclist better. But ultimately, it was my experience with Garmin and the reviews of others that made me pick the Edge 530. So to be fair, I cannot compare it with the offerings from Wahoo or Hammerhead, and can only speak for this unit

 I've made the transition from a quadlock mount to the Garmin Edge 530 simply because my mount broke off while riding the cobbles (as Belgian it's part of my identity so I don't avoid them). The small arm simply couldn't hold the weight of a large smartphone during heavy vibrations.

I’ve rediscovered cycling and have been expanding my ride rage, and have a goal to hit my first century in the next month (last long ride 2 weeks ago was ~75 miles).  I’m a very “unplug when u can” type of person, and a “iPhone are f-in expensive to just have in the elements” person, actually I’m a “live in the Bay Area and don’t want to get jacked” person while we’re keeping score, but my last ride I pulled out my phone many times to check strava/all trails as I was in new territory.  

I plan on heading from Berkeley/Oakland around the bay and up the peninsula this spring/summer to hit a century, plus hopefully many more centuries to come, and that’s a lot of new territory as I don’t want century rides to just be a goldfish in a bowl type rides.  I already have a peak design case and car mount, so a PD out front mount would make sense.  It’s $70+ bux tho, and takes some real estate on handlebars.

What are ur thoughts on the phone mount?  I’m not a moneybags so $70 is a lot for a holder, but cycling is also a big hobby of mine.  Worth it?  Collects dust?  Etc etc
