Thule Accent 28L vs Mountain Hardwear Camp 4 21 Pack

The straps are really wide and super comfortable. I am tall and this bag is pretty tall too, and I like backpacks that extend down lower than my belt line so that it distributes the weight kind of below my hips (does that make sense?)

I live in SLC, Utah and work in Tech Sales which should provide some context to the collection. My everyday carry is the Aer Tech Pack 2 which recently replaced my Thule Accent 28L that I had for about 5 years. Outside of that, the other 2 bags that I love and use the most are my Thule AllTrail X 15L (for hiking) and the Thule Chasm Duffel for all of my weekend car camping adventures.

My laptop put all of that stuff in this bag and it still was very comfortable. So i like that, a lot you get the little mountain hardwear branding rig...

I am using this bag now, really due to the cost and some of the pros I list below, but overall I regret this purchase. The fact that it has a zipped section at the top of the bag, that can be accessed if the bag is under the seat on an airplane or in the overhead bin, without pulling the bag out is an AWESOME idea. However, overall the bag design is a disappointment to me. The opening of the main compartment is strange and then because of the compartment at the top, the main compartment flap becomes top heavy
