 It's tough. It sits on your back like second skin. I bought it mainly for cycle commuting. Its' clean lines and perfect size means I can fill it with everything I need for the day and still have a bit of room to stash whatever I need to bring home

I have had this North Face Recon backpack for two years and it still feels and looks like new. I believe this is a must if you are looking for a new backpack while in college. Not only should it be a backpack that you feel comfortable carrying around but also a backpack that you know will last you a long time. Any college student will like this because of its easiness to stay organized, its redesigned suspension for all day support, and quick access to side pockets to either hold your belongings such as keys or water bottle

 The version i have here is the all black, but you can see all the different options that they have on the company site and then moving into the materials on the exterior. You have a rip, stop nylon that feels pretty lightweight, but like it's still going to hold up well to rougher usage, it also feels like it's going to offer a nice amount of weather resistance, and then you have ykk zippers all throughout the bag that have worked Really smoothly continuing along the outside on the front, as i mentioned earlier, you have webbing that's going to allow you to attach additional accessories with something like a carabiner. This is normally the spot where i would attach my hero clip, but you have two rows of this. Webbing one on each side, so a lot of different ways that you can attach items and then you have on the bottom of the bag, compression straps that are going to allow you to hold something like a yoga mat or maybe a jacket

I just placed a little manicure set that i like to have with me when i'm on the go and then on the right, i placed this usb power block that i use for charging my macbook pro and my other devices when i'm on the road moving up Along the front of the bag, you have another spacious compartment

 You can see my 13 inch macbook pro is getting kind of swallowed up by the compartment, but the sleeve is very well padded. I love that it has the soft fleece lining to help prevent against scratching it's a suspended compartment. So if you place your bag down a little bit harder, your device is going to be well protected and so pulling my laptop out now with the compartment empty. You can get a better look at the inside and so plenty of padding on both sides of the compartment, and it comes up enough to be able to hold a thicker device

Worn after two years

 However, this pack is so comfortable and practical and I use it for college, my day camp job, and for day hikes. It has been a lifesaver for my back having two straps, especially when I'm carrying lots of water and/or books. I love the laptop sleeve for my macbook; it feels very secure and safe if I knock into something with my pack. The two water bottle holders are convenient and hold a nalgene which is really important to me

 But the very bottom of the back panel is very rigid and hard, so it does curve, but this this, like very bottom part, is really really stiff and hard and it sort of just poked me in the back while i was wearing it. I think maybe this the profile of this bag is a little too long for me personally, i'm 5'4. I think my torso is about 19 inches, so this was just a little bit too long and because it's so stiff it just poked me the whole time that i wore it. So it was a bit uncomfortable there

 So that could be kind of frustrating if you're using it for a weekend trip, but just for day to day, if you don't really have that many things to carry then could be. Fine just depends on your use case and how much stuff you have to carry. So this is the laptop compartment here. It does have a generous false bottom, which is nice, and then you have this like really thick padded fleece lined liner slapper

 So you can see what i mean uh here. We are here's the main compartment and also with the zippers. You know you have these nice long and wide zipper pulls so just make zipping it open, really easy um for the main compartment and on the laptop compartment as well. You have those, so those are pretty handy so main compartment here um i have a few gripes about the first one is that you know this is a basically horseshoe zipper, so i feel like it doesn't, doesn't quite open up wide enough for me personally and you Kind of have to pack your items vertically and quite strategically to be able to get them

 Number 16: The Laptop Compartment: I actually have to say that this is my favorite compartment or laptop compartment out of any other bag I have ever owned. and that's just because it's divided into three sections. You can have one section for your documents in your papers, you have one section for your ipad. Right now, I have a standard size ipad in here, but you can fit a larger one in and it has room for up to a 17-inch laptop

 The other thing they change though is that the zipper doesn't go as low as the previous version, so that means you just can't open it as wide. but it's still fairly wide, so not a huge issue. Number 17: They've actually added a reflective strip on either side of the laptop zipper. Number 18: These straps are slightly different

 So if you are a high schooler who does not bring a ton of textbooks, it should work for you. - Ths shoulder straps on this backpack are hard. When completely full and heavy this backpack hurt my back and shoulders. It especially made my neck muscles tighten

I use this backpack for to and from work. It is useful because I can put my laptop in there are it feels safe from spilled drinks/food. It has a comfortable fit, although if you don't like the box feel of a backpack then I wouldn't recommend this product. I recently had the North Face recon for 12 years and that was my favorite backpack

 You can just carry it like this and it also has straps there where you can put things. It's got a little place where you can put your carabiner here as well to hang more things. There are two zippered pockets here, the one where it has surged on it. It's got a fleece lining inside

 This has two openings right here. one for your your iPad So I'm going to put an iPad right here to get an idea right there and I also have my 14 inch Dell computer. this is 14 inch it to my work one. I'm just going to go foot here so you have how it fits in there so this is the slot on the back part right here

 It's not fleece and it feels like this one. Yeah, it's It's the same size and you see the zipper. It's got a nice color on it like a rose gold gold zipper and it's got little straps on them where it's easy to zip in and zip and grab the zipper. and on the sides there are two water bottle compartments

 This is the women backpack right here and I Purchased this at Sports Check for one 49.99 Right here is the prices is Canadian price. It can hold a 15-inch laptop and it also has a compartment for your iPad as well. So I'm just going to go through all the zippers and compartments that it has in here so you get an idea if you are interested in purchasing them
