 Just take that packing cube out. I got a makeup bag in here. Notebook wallet and some facial spray, so there's quite a bit of space here in the main compartment but, as you can see like without without the main compartment like packed, very well, which, if you're just using this for edc you're, probably not going to have a packing Cube in there, this top part just kind of flaps over so i mean you can see right here, it's just kind of like sagging inward. So if you've got let's say, oops, just your wallets and like a notebook for everyday carry and then you have some like smaller items in here

 So you've got you know nice amount of space and it is pretty tall. So maybe you could fit a 16 inch, i'm not sure, but with my 13 inch it only comes up to maybe like here. So you've got lots of space there. So yeah there

 So i think in here i've just got like um just some cables and then my laptop charger. So once you open this up, you can see it immediately just sags down there, because there's nothing in the main compartment to keep it upright, so just got ta be careful of that. So for the rest of the main compartment, pretty much is just a laptop sleeve which is really thickly padded, like i said you got that really like rigid and thick back panel here and then it does have a very generous false bottom, so it's suspended. So your laptop will be protected against any drops, which of course, is great

 These shoulder straps have a pretty thick amount of padding and foam here, as you can see. So i found this to be super comfortable for my everyday carry. Then you've also got these nylon. Webbing loops on the straps here too, so you can use a carabiner such as this one to clip on like an accessory pouch or anything else that you need to carry that

The North Face Daypack Review (2 Weeks of Use)

I got this bag since my previous backpack was unable to safely transport my new laptop. I was ecstatic to finally find something able to hold my 16" laptop safely! Beyond that, the straps are extremely comfortable and I no longer am suffering from terrible back pains resulting from my heavy work load..

 We like how soft it is because it doesn’t put any unnecessary strain on your hand if the bag is in a tight space. 

 Combined, the shoulder straps and back panel make for a seriously comfortable carry, even when this bag is fully packed out. The shoulders straps also feature nylon webbing for you to clip on hand sanitizer, organizer pouches, or whatever other accessories you want quick access to. 

 It doesn’t seem like it would have good weather resistance, but we were pleasantly surprised at how well it held up. We once had to make a run for it from the office to the car in an unexpected downpour, and even though it would only be a minute sprint from door to door, we had some concerns about how well our soft daypack would protect our laptop. Luckily, none of our stuff inside the pack got wet, so kudos to The North Face for that.

i have a Wotancraft Pilot 7L shoulder bag that i love.  its comfortable and well made and i prefer it to my Peak Design sling bag by a wide margin.  I prefer it to the older bags i had from Domke and Tamrac.

The bag is comfortable and looks like it has my lunch in it.  no one is going to target it because it doesn't scream 'expensive electronics in here'.

I'm looking for a daily backpack that *can also* hold my camera + a lens or two. 

I just want to be able to carry a camera, a 24-70mm lens and maybe a 50mm lens. I don't need a full camera backpack. I do need the backpack to be a place where I can put my 15 inch laptop, back up battery pack, wallet, some medicine, a paperback etc. 

Basically a nice, high quality commuter backpack that can also hold a camera + lens. 

Want something that will last and looks good.

A good backpack that also holds a camera? (Rather than a camera-first bag)

The Prvke 31 is more comfortable and functional as a camera bag in my experience. That being said, it's just not big enough for me to one bag, although it is small enough to use as an EDC camera bag. The Hexad is a great carry-all, max size option, but it's too big to haul around all day, although it is pretty comfortable.

I don't typically fill the duffel bag full to the brim, but the fins and tripod make it awkward. I use the duffle basically to haul gear from point A to B, hotel to hotel, so no walking around cities or long hikes with this. The duffel I have paired with [packable day bag](https://www.eaglecreek.com/shop/accessories/packable-daypack-ec0a3cws) that I use when I explore the city or when I check in the duffle (in cases I am able to fill it), I use day bag to keep all my electronics and valuables (compact camera, laptop, docs, etc.)

Right now, I have migrated from a compact camera to a MFT Camera system (Camera body, telephoto lens for birding, wide lens for landscape, macro lens for small animals and underwater housing). So it is a big jump in system size and looking for a bag setup that will work for me.

Basically still a point A to B bag, but can now better protect my camera gear. Naturally I gravitated to Peak Design with their camera centric bags.

I am looking at the Peak Design Travel Backpack with medium camera cube. That will carry my clothes, laptop and cameras. Then the fins/tripod strapped to the outside of the bag or if need to check those awkward items in (Tripod and fins), I have a foldable net dive bag that'll hold them, the the PD Travel bag I carry on with my Laptop and Camera stuff.

I would like to hear you feedback on:

* Peak Design travel backpack - concerns are it is heavy (2kg), strap uncomfortable, how well does it protect the cameras?
* Carry setup - is there possibly a more elegant solution? Looking for alternative carry ideas. Basically still a point A to B bag, but can now hold all and better protect my camera gear.

Looking for advice on a one bag camera/travel bag

 But I had to use this bag for a while to kind of understand Wilton Craft's philosophy behind it. They wanted to make a super light, super carriable bag, and they had to make some choices to do that. Cordura, for instance, is far more durable than canvas and way lighter. And of course, plastic is quite a bit lighter than brass

 These straps as well are adjustable so if you want to hold a tripod on the top you can a little bit of pain again with like the fresh leather not being super stretchy but the option is there if you need to. The strap again like I was talking about. has great sound design, feels really good and the padding on the shoulder section is pretty fantastic to be honest. The only downside is that it does slide around a fair bit

 And inside, we have your standard sort of messenger bag style. You got your latch handle at the top.
