 They don't seem to exist outside of Amazon, but we pick up this S zone bag for the affordable, weekender feature, and we were really impressed for the price. I think it was like 65 $ 70 and it was. It was a really cool. Looking canvas weekender with some leather accents

 It was invented a couple hundred years ago in the United Kingdom for sales, and what wax canvas is it's literally cotton canvas that's been treated with wax so that when water hits it beads up and rolls right off, so it's essentially a waterproof fabric. That'S been in use up until mid 20th century until nylon was invented, so it's very durable and because we have prime to a two-day shipping and free returns. So we ordered it and I got ta say it's uh, it's pretty nice. The canvas is I'd, say, like a mid, mid weight, canvas and the leather is nice

 This is definitely real leather. It'S sort of like a soft oiled leather, which is nice. It'S the leather is backed by the wax canvas as well for durability, and it's got some nice leather straps to hold it shut and the d-rings for the included, shoulder, strap or actually double leather reinforced. So pretty solid, the inside is lined and it has a couple pockets, one small zippered pocket and four small open pockets

 Great quality, roomy, and classic look. The pictures don't show it but the inside and the side pockets have a nice lining to them. Expect this to be my travel bag for as long as it lasts.

Perfect for college road trips

  It drives me nuts!  They should be on some kind of ring where they attach to the bag so they fall away when not used.  Instead, they&#039;re permanently hovering over the opening whether you like it or not.  If LL Bean made a change to the handles, I would buy it again instantly.

 The carry system on the new pack here is virtually identical. the same thin mesh straps. They did add a sternum strap here adjustable sternum strap, which is a nice touch. and then if you can see, there is a slightly larger curve in the updated version than on the old one

 You can see they're mesh. They don't have any padding, but they're quite wide so they help distribute the weight well. And because it is this stiff mesh fabric, they have great air ventilation. I don't think these straps would be appropriate for a larger travel backpack, but for a small 16 liter day pack like this, they work great

 They also made some major upgrades to the hardware in the new version. This is something I always thought was lacking in the older Matador packs. This is a very well made, sturdy and expensive day pack, and they used to use these tiny off-brand kind of cheap zippers and I'm happy to say they fixed that in the update. These are much higher quality Number Five Ykk zipper with a water resistant sealed lining

 This updated fabric is slightly stronger. It's a 50 denier rip strap with a waterproof polyurethane coating and then you can see whatever they did with the update. The fabric is less shiny, which I think looks way better looking at the waterproofness. This fabric is waterproof, all the seams are sealed, and the zipper is very highly water resistant

 Moving On to the inside of the pack, you've pretty much got a giant bucket.. The Zippers open up in a horseshoe style down to the top of the water bottle compartment. On The interior: You can really see where the Cordura was welded together to create some additional weather resistance on the pack

 It's actually about the same size zipper as the entire exterior of this clamshell opening of this pack.. Just Some food for thought for you. Also One important note on the materials here, is that Matador states that they use waterproof materials on their website

 We have YKK buckles, which is from a Japanese manufacturer that makes some of the greatest zippers in the world. We also have Duraflex hardware for some of the strap adjustment going on. And then some non-absorbing shoulder straps that are made of non-absorbant mesh material. Lastly We have some teeny, tiny SVS zippers, going on in this thing and they're very small
