I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

The Inkey List’s Oat Cleansing Balm 5/5:. This is not a very stable balm and more often than not comes out an oil when it’s above 70°F where I live.

[REVIEW] I’ve tried a number of first-step cleansers and thought I’d review them for you guys!

Okay so I use this product as my first cleanse in a double cleanse and it’s good- not amazing and not horrible just good. The texture is weird to me, but only satisfying in a way. It doesn’t emulsify as much as I want it too. The price tho-*chefs kiss*!! If you want an affordable balm this is the one! Also my skin feels softer after using it! It’s definitely “mid”!!

I have acne prone skin so I wanted something to easily get my makeup off without irritating my skin. If I wear a full face of makeup it takes a bit of product and a lot of wash clothes.. I ended up having to use micelles water and cotton pads which irritate my skin, to get the rest of the makeup off

Absolutely a no no for me. First, it irritates my eyes so baaaad! And that is the first reason I used balm cleansers, because I used makeup everyday and my eyes are always my focus point. Even for a no makeup type of day, mascara and something in my lids are my go to. Back to this product, don’t eliminate all my mascara (and I don’t used water proof), always live my eyes red and I have to go back with several layers to removed all my makeup (and I don’t wear a ton)

 I personally do not have super sensitive skin but this balm did cause some texture to my cheek area and some breakout pimples on my face. I do not struggle with acne normally so I stopped using this product and my face cleared up. I gave it 4 stars because it does work well, my skin just doesn’t agree with it.

This cleanser always makes my skin feel hydrated after I wash my face, and I also love how it has no scent. All of this at such an affordable price point, yes please! (US$7.50 in my country).

EDIT: After using this cleanser for a while I noticed that I was getting small regular breakouts all over my face and I started getting a lot of congestion/large visible pores around my forehead. I tried to identify alternative reasons for this (diet, supplements, stress, etc.) and paired down my skincare routine to see if anything was irritating my skin. Funnily enough, as soon as I stopped using this cleanser the issues slowly went away

Great Basic Balm Cleanser

I am so happy to finally stop using makeup wipes. I used them for years and now at the age of 28 I’m terrified of wrinkles. I watch a lot of YouTube skincare videos and one of them had suggested this (I tend to trust this YouTuber for most skincare) so I purchased it.
