Svord peasant blade vs Spyderco Para 3 lw

Love the Svord! Such an awesome knife for a great price. I think I got my full size and mini for $10-$12 each.

Holding it open feels great in the hand as far as comfort and love how light it is. Don’t really get why the release is on the spine of the knife instead of where they traditionally are on most folders, makes it much harder to close one handed. Grip feels slick and flimsy guess that’s the price you pay to lighten it over a G10 grip. Feels cheap for the price

The blade isn't strong at all. Came with a chip in the edge, and varies between having a sharp and a dull edge. For the wood the finish although it's suppose to be "rustic" was really poorly done with gouges and an unfinished side. And the screws/posts didn't fit into the wood well at all

The Delica 4 has steel liners, and it feels more natural to hold. On the other hand, the G-10 handle on my other Para 3 is a bit blocky and doesn't slip in and out of my pocket as easily as the FRN, but I do like its heft. The liner-less Para 3 FRN handle lacks weight, which makes it seem a bit plasticky and cheap, but that's a very real deception. I think most people tend to falsely equate heft with quality

This pin was not present on the knife I ordered. This meant there was nothing stopping the blade from going too far backwards except the tension on the screws. The problem is, if you set them tight enough to stop the blade from going backwards, it's very difficult to open. I don't know why they stopped putting this pin in, or if it's only my knife that it happens to be missing from

The nicest knife i own! I told her about my small knife collection and why i EDC a knife. Then showed her different knifes on bladehq and that ive been wanting a spyderco para 3 and she had no idea what i was talking about. But she knocked the ball out of the park with this bad boy! She was honest after we opened our gifts and told me she was sorry and forgot what knife i wanted and picked a coolest looking one. I told her she did awesome and i love it to bits!

I could see it as a neck knife with a clip on the lanyard small enough to fit the hole in the tang. 3. It's durable. The simple mechanism and extra length of the tang should allow it to withstand some beating without complaint

This isn’t that bad but I think BD1 should be a little better with some work. That being said I can get this knife far sharper than factory in 5 min w a worksharp precision angle sharpener and a leather strop so no worries. My second issue is that the finish scuffs up fairly easily.the black DLC blades scratch really easy but this stainless look also took wear from rubbing on my keys and sharpening sticks camping

The handle is rough but the blade seems pretty good. It is bigger than you would think but not in a good way.

The handle is very light (and the knife is light, which is good), however in proportion to the blade, it is uncomfortable to open and handle. The steel is OK (I prefer S30V), but the pocket clip also stinks. For the price, I think the S30V/G10 version of this knife is about 10x better and that is what I ended up with instead.

When the knife arrived it felt very light, not a good light but cheap, knife people know what I mean. The handles are very very misaligned and is covered in splinters. Sanding doesn’t help as it’s made of like a weird plywood looking material. Most certainly not the knife I was excited to receive

I wasn't impressed. I thought the handle was way too light compared to the weight of the blade. It's a thick blade. They should have narrowed it down to lighten it for this version to help with balancing the handle
