 On this hat I try and tuck the neck cape up behind the tensioning strap when I don't need it and want to feel the breeze. 

 In order for air to flow though the vents the dome of the hat needs to sit a bit above the top of your head.  Otherwise it's like having a window open with a brick wall next to it. There's no air flow through the vents if there is no space for the air to flow through. Also the vent panels themselves are not a very open design, the fabric is  like a fine mesh like ladies stockings as opposed to a more open screen like material with perforations

 In order to get any ventilation while wearing this hat I have to adjust it so that it's a little too small and sits up higher on my head. That way there's a bit of space for air to pass through.

The hat is made of fabric that is lightweight which is a plus but that alone is not enough to give this hat high marks.

I'm still looking for a great sunhat ~

Buyer Beware.  I bought a hat to match my son, both were named "Sand" though the adult one is much darker.  It seemed lighter in the pictures, and I figured it may have been different material that made it a bit darker in the picture.  However, it's even darker than the pictures!  It fits like a dream, and was looking forward to wearing it, but sadly I'll return to get the lighter color once it become available

I'm a 5'10  female with an average size head and the small/med fit great with room for a ponytail as another reviewer mentioned.

 Densely woven fabrics are more protective than thin or loosely woven or knit fabrics. If you can see through the fabric, then UV radiation can also get through. Many clothing items with a UPF rating are chemically treated with UV absorbers or dyes to prevent some UV penetration.The Ultra Adventure Hat gets its UPF rating from how tightly woven the fabric & mesh is

 None of my packs go high behind my head, so I don’t have a problem with brims hitting my packs. However, if that is a problem for you, the Ultra Adventure, with its floppy neck cape, would leave any hat/pack interactions less noticeable.The Ultra Adventure comes in 2 sizes, S/M and L/XL and the fit is adjustable with a pull tab on the back. Although it is a unisex hat, there are a variety of colors sure to please anyone

The greatest hat ever for sun protection

I had a regular medium size adventure hat before, which was the perfect size, but it was taken after I accidentally left it at a facility one day. I thought if I was ordering another one, I may as well go for the upgrade, but this one seems to be half the size of the original. The brim is way smaller.

Downgrade rather than an upgrade

 I purchased Medium and it is the correct size: for Kangol hats I am a medium and for baseball caps I am around 7 1/4. I have a smallish head and the hat comes down a little low on my ears, but given its light weight and large brim, I can either tighten the adjustable 'belt' or pull it over my ears. Not a problem. This color is also the right color for me: it is sort of a grey blue, and the trim on the edges does not stand out as much as it did in the photo, which I like

 Over the weekend I wore it for about 10 hours and could not have been happier, with comfort as well as that the sun never hit my neck, face, or head regardless of time of day. Some reviews complain about back flap coming up easily. Yes, it comes up easily, but (a) I used small magnets (from Jo-Ann's) on each corner and it ended the problem, and (b) I find that even without the magnets, when the back flap blows up it does not really let the sun come through in anyway that bothers me. Where I am at does not have much wind, but I would just use the magnets if it gets windy

 (My kids even confirm that I do not look totally ridiculous.) The hat is much lighter than I expected, which I care about because I spend a lot of time on futbol fields and hiking. Over the weekend I wore it for about 10 hours and could not have been happier, with comfort as well as that the sun never hit my neck, face, or head regardless of time of day. It is a somewhat neutral color that will not get dirty too quickly. My one concern is how it looks after a lot more sweat sits on it for a longer period of time, but as a bald man this is a problem I have with all hats

Hi all. I’m looking to buy a gift for my wife’s birthday and she needs some winter boots. Specifically ones that not only keep her feet warm but also her toes. Sometimes after a 30 min walk, her toes turn white. 1 reason is because everywhere else is warm except for the toe area where it is a rubber lining on the outside and a thin layer on the inside. 

I don’t remember which brand she had specifically but it looks like this one where the toes are rubber and the whole body of the boot looks like the “Sorell Women’s Caribou” or the “Women’s Chilkat 400 Boots North Face”

My question is, those of you who have the ‘UGG Adirondack III”, what is your experience with the boot and does it keep your feet and TOES warm? How is the slip resistance?  And any others you recommend that keep your toes warm with good slip resistance?

Winter Boots that keep your TOES warm also.

 Just be careful when you need boots for cold weather since it's quite dangerous if you cannot keep warm in the feet to almost freeze your feet off. I gave it a middle rating for the fashion look I love and the grip that's better than other UGG shoes.

Wouldn't serve in minus Celsius

 I have another pair of Uggs and they are the same size, but actually a little loose on me. These boots do not have the same fit, that's for darned sure. *fingers crossed*

I have been so looking forward to getting these boots in the mail. I have been wanting them for a few years, and was really prepared to love them. I was sadly disappointed though because these boots were so small and narrow that there was no way I could wear them. I am going to try going up a whole size and seeing if they fit then, if they don't, I will have to return them

Good looking snow boots

Costco value and shipping were excellent as usually.  It's always nice find up-market items at fair prices at Costco.  The price on them has fallen again since my pre-Christmas purchase so hope you can get them at an even lower price towards the end of the cold season.
