 Hi, I'm Rick for TGW.com. I'm introducing the all-new Shrixon ZX7 Iron. It's my intent

 to tell you what type of player is going to want to try the new ZX7, who Shrixon designed

 this club for. I got to hit it. I'm going to give you my first impressions when hitting

 the club, talk about the data I saw with shots hit, and then I'll talk of the technology,

 what goes into the new ZX7 from Shrixon. Listed are the standard specifications, and we got

 to hit the ZX7 with the NS Pro Modus 3. It's 120-gram steel shaft and the Golf Pride Tour

 Velvet 360. But remember, TGW.com can accommodate any of your custom requests. The ZX7s are

 definitely a compact blade-shaped iron with a thin top line, a narrow sole, and very little

 offset. That puts the center of gravity of the irons close to the shaft and makes it

 easy for skilled players to manipulate. Yet, with the technology, it's going to give you

 a little bit of boost in ball speed for added distance. First impressions, the club has

 a very traditional look at address, very pleasing to the eye. You can see that the cavity is

 unique in the fact that it's got all these angulated shapes, so it kind of stands out

 at a distance. The turf interaction with the ZX7 I found also to be very pleasing. I'd

 say it's slightly on the sharper side to where I'm definitely going to take a divot. And

 the feel is solid. I tested the 7-iron of the ZX7, and typical for me, I was swinging

 at 82.3 miles an hour on average. I was getting a very pleasing ball speed for a club in this

 category of just over 110 miles an hour. For me, my launch angle was slightly on the lower

 side at 17.7. Spin rate was appropriate at just over 5,000 RPMs. My max height, again,

 was in the trajectory window, but slightly on the lower side at 76 feet. Descent angle

 was 42 degrees, and my average carry was 156.6. Talk about technology that goes into the ZX7,

 and the first thing I would mention is Shrixon's use of multi-material construction. In the

 mid and long irons, they're using tungsten and carbon steel to give those clubs added

 stability and a higher MOI for more forgiveness, better distance, and straighter shots. The

 next would be the shape of the ZX7s. And with the shape, Shrixon is shifting mass to the

 perimeter of the club, again, to maintain a high MOI, but they're also placing some

 weight right in the sweet spot of the club. That's going to improve the feel and improve

 the workability. Next would be the progressive grooves on the face of the ZX7s. And from

 the 3-iron through the 7-iron, you have wider grooves across the face, ideal for longer

 shots. And then the 8-iron through the wedges, you have narrower, deeper grooves, which are

 better for cutting through grass and debris. Both allow the face to make more consistent

 contact on the golf ball, giving you more consistency throughout the set. And then the

 Tour VT sole is what gave me that amazing contact at impact. And the shape of the sole

 simply allows the club to glide through the turf, and it's going to help you eliminate

 Even mishits are respectfully long and straight. Really makes golf so much more enjoyable. Also becomes a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy - clubs are so easy to hit, my swing becomes more relaxed knowing I don’t need to hit it perfectly, relaxed swing = improved swing, etc….

Game changing club for high handicap

Stock grips, like most stock grips, are not likely those you will keep. Re-gripped irons with mid-size Golf Pride and made a big difference in power transfer and control.
