Final Thoughts – This game is excellent and I cannot recommend it enough. The theme is just so rich and the gameplay is so unique. Not only that but the game comes packaged with so many variant options that the replay value is just off the charts here. I mean 8 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT spirits to play as not to mention the varying island boards and all the options with cards

As a co-op, I've heard this game is particularly hard to run through when one person has more experience than the other players - I think my biggest advice for those players is that its probably best to take a back seat and let your companions fall flat a few times as they learn what to be concerned about. Bottom Line - I'm a huge fan of the theme, and the gameplay, but this is not a game for those who want to win more than they lose.

This one is probably medium, and most of them are on the play board not in a player's personal management responsibility. Bottomline is that the three of us are all looking forward to playing it again, with different and harder starting conditions; now that we know the rules and the pace of play it'll go much faster and be much easier to design strategy against it

We had read just about every review we could on this and it was mixed- like anything polled by the public it will be smash-up of reviews and opinions, so we just went for it and bought the game. This was a kickstarter and we support that site / and cause, you give money to the smaller companies to support them, so that too was a deciding factor for us

in order to win this game you need to come up with some ways to make it a little more manageable otherwise it will be the new "monopoly" where family members get upset and flip the board over

But for anyone who loves strategy, customization, and amazing game design, spirit island is an unparalleled experience.

Pros: - Good balance and much fun for two people - Replaying capabilities are huge, a lot of things depend on Holy Random - Nevertheless, Strategy is really important, can't win the game simply doing your chores, need to plan a lot. - You win like 1 in 5 times for each scenario Cons: - You win like 1 in 5 times for each scenario - Balance (in terms of food and resources) can be rather hard (if not broken) for more than two people - You always feel like you are about to win this set, but you lose in the last round.

This game is REALLY well designed and playtested. It offers a lot of strategy and fun, and yet is accessible to everyone I've taught it to. There's a lot of customization of the dificulty and play-style, choosing your character, enemies, scenarios, etc, which makes the game really replayable. My wife and I LOVE this cooperative game, and have played it several days in a row
