I mean what the hell If you even want a two-channel stereo setup and you're on a budget for the amount of money you get this for You're going to get so much more So and if you don't like it take it back I mean, you're not out much money. You could spend a lot more money On a home theater receiver and not getting nearly as much no wonder it's won so many product of the year awards All right guys Have a wonderful evening. It's it's not it's not as good as my two-channel main rig set up But for $399 it gets really really close So I Just want to let you know my kind of journey to this because I Couldn't believe that for this amount of money that I would get what I got so I So I Replaced it with a Ankyo TX RZ 830 and well Nope nope nope a lot more power did not sound nearly as good in two-channel It did do a 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos setup on its own this one doesn't It only does it dole the Atmos speakers in the front But it sounds so much better that had a had a had to keep this one, but So and it broke so I returned it And so then I tried a Denon 4500 and Well, that was better a lot better and I Don't know I don't know It's just it's just the two-channel didn't sound as good as the Sony And that's incredible $399 I got this for so You know the Denon 4500 is going for 1100 I think you could get it at fries for like $899 and Which is a hell of a deal, it's actually really good, but for two channels stereo listening This sucker is amazing it really is So this is why I'm doing this video, so You know if you have a small room, and you just want an Atmos setup for the two front channel height channels Go for it Sony did a hell of a job with this receiver So it has a lot of clarity a lot of deep bass As a great soundstage It's fun to listen to it seems kind of effortless in the way it presents music And it sounds like like some really good two-channel receivers that I've had I really really am blown away by How well this is performed and kind of makes me happy so Another thing I want to say is this Sony has been flawless everything works It's easy Everything that the chromecast works great airplay works great You know I hooked up Blu-ray player hooked up my Roku stick

Sony STR-DN1080 Review for 2 channel stereo + 5.1.2

 Okay, so I've struggled with finding a home theater receiver

 Which actually does justice to two-channel stereo playback

 Thing I want in my system in the home theater comes second

 I've been through a few different receivers lately and I've struggled with it

 For a long time and I actually really liked it. It was great lots of power

 Sounded great in stereo. I can actually listen to music and enjoyed it

 It wasn't as good as my separate in my in my main system, but hey, man, I could sit down and listen to that

 Don't sound as good as that model in my personal opinion

 You know, I had to go out go about replacing it

 You know, I actually think that it's it's the real deal. You get some really cool effects from the ceiling

 And it really adds a whole different dimension to your home theater experience

 But to try to find a damn Atmos receiver

 That's really good for regular two-channel music playback is a real pain in the butt

 You know, the first thing I bought was a

 Pioneer Elite. I can't remember the model number something 90

 And it was nice, you know, it worked pretty well I enjoyed it for home theater

 for stereo playback, it was a really mellow and

 Really didn't do it for me, but I had it in my system for a long time

 You know screw this. I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna replace it with something different and

 399 you know, I'm gonna I'm gonna go ahead and and

 And it sounds really good for two-channel music and it blew it really blew me away. I mean, come on. It's it's not

 But for $399 it gets really really close
