4) Like I previously said the back LCD looks very good, and very high quality, but it is mostly limited to taking videos, the focus in live view is no where near the what you get from the view finder.

Even when set to its faster operation mode, it takes much longer to adjust than you would with a mechanical zoom SLR lens. If you're sitting under the net and a player is driving toward you for a layup or dunk, it's harder to keep them tightly framed than it would be with an SLR lens—you're better off shooting a bit wide and cropping later if you want the whole sequence. Keep this in mind if you need to change the focal length quickly and regularly when capturing sports or similar action.

My daughter was standing still about 15 feet away. We were indoors in medium light. The focus was extremely slow to acquire and unpredictable. Capturing moments requires a camera that has fast and reliable focus, and this camera failed in that area

First of all, the AF is great -- I mean really good. Even without the assist beam, which is a big plus at events when you are trying to be unobtrusive. Best professional application that I think of is "run and gun" wedding photography and I would definitely love using it for that. For studio work, not so much

if u want bang for the buck... consider a purchase involving 'amazon renewed' or go to the 'canon refurbished' website

Things i like about this camera. It definitely has a nice feel and weight in your hands. I have owned several DSLR's over many years and this camera just feels just plain easy to handle. Which in a camera is a great quality

If you get your head around the price of this camera you may have found the best bridge camera on the market right. I know that my DSLR's will be staying home when I go on vacation. Less bulk to carry and I won't have to worry about changing lens and missing shots

Not the biggest horsepower, not the most bling, not the most luxurious, not the most aggressive and certainly not the newest sports car design. Sorry I digress.
