I got a Sonos Move, and just bring it outside when needed—very flexible.  Can control over AirPlay 2 including via HomePods if you assign it to a room in the Home app (“Hey Siri, play Xxx on the Deck speaker”).

I took the plunge to HomeKit and am looking for good outdoor speakers that support airplay. I would prefer wireless but am open to anything.

Best outdoor speakers

 There have been no other issues that we've experienced, so generally we are quite happy with the quality of the move and how reliably it works day to day. I don't get good Wi-fi coverage in my garden. Is there any way around that? Thankfully the move actually comes with a Wi-fi extender built in and we test. We tested this in our previous video and we were still skipping tracks about 50 meters from our wi-fi router before it struggled to keep on playing

Sonos Move 1 Year On: What We Know Now!

 At this point I'm thinking I would have been better off with a Home pod, even though it isn't portable. I can't recommend the Sonos Move at this time.

 I am so far unable to get my Sonos to reliably stream music with Alexa. I use Apple music as my default music service. It works fine with my old Amazon Echo, but know luck with my Sonos move. At first I could get it to play individual songs by asking, but no luck when issuing commands to play specific radio stations

Good sound, but problems trying to stream music makes it difficult to recommend.

 Here's why - It has the same great looks as I have come to expect from SONOS, but there is something about the material choices on this product that make it even better. It fits right in with my other SONOS speakers, while not taking up any more space than say a SONOS ONE. 3. Automatic Trueplay - it automatically adjusts its sound depending on where you place the speaker, making sure that it always sound its best

 I imagine this was pretty had to do, but it works really well. I put MOVE in some pretty challenging places inside and outside, and within 20 or 30 seconds or so it just fixes itself and sounds great again! 4. The WiFi range - I took MOVE outside and began to walk all around the outside my house and into the yard pretty far away and it never lost connection. SONOS did something special here with the WiFi to make it super robust

 I like having that feature so that I don't have to worry if there is WiFi or not wherever I might travel. 6. It feels solid - It has a great solid and balanced feeling to it. There is an integrated handle in the back that is just part of the design
