 taking a look at the extremely versatile Sonos amp. Easily bring the Sonos experience to

 your floor standing, in ceiling, in wall, and bookshelf speakers, just like the lovely

 Sonos fiber luminal ones I have with me here today. Go check out our video on these. These,

 plus the Sonos amp make for one of the best value pairings around. So before we figure

 out what makes the Sonos amp so useful, make sure you subscribe to the Gramaphone channel

 We have a lot of great stuff on the way. Now then, let's talk about this wonderful amp

 Alright guys, let's talk about the compatibility of the Sonos amp. But wait, Luke, aren't you

 supposed to talk about the features? No, the biggest feature of the Sonos amp is the compatibility.

 So while I am going to break down all the great things that the amp does, allow me to

 sum it up already. Basically, the Sonos amp is like a port, go watch our video on that

 by the way, that decided that if you wanted something done right, you should just go do

 it yourself. What I mean by that is that it does everything the port does with all the

 great compatibility and streaming features, but has its own speaker amplifiers built right

 in so you can just connect it up to almost anything. And it's got the power to drive

 pleasure to be able to recommend a product like this that's so accessible. We're talking

 like high five levels of good, seriously. And even in its build as an amplifier, it's

 solid. It's got really nice banana jacks in the back of it. And if you need to wire

 it up with bare wire, you can slip modular binding post into the jack so you can use

 bare wire as well. So this gives you the versatility that Sonos is known for not only in their

 streaming and digital music options, but now even in the physical connections itself.

 Sonos brings the ease of use that they've been known for on all of their other products

 right here to the new amp. Looking on the front, you can see the capacitive touch controls,

 they have play and pause and then two buttons that are soft buttons, as in they can be both

 volume and track select. As for connectivity, this has two ethernet ports, has built in

 Wi-Fi, which does work reliably for music streaming, and also features Apple's AirPlay

 2. And despite this being geared towards streaming, it does have an analog line in so you could

 even connect something like a turntable to this. This also has a dedicated subwoofer

 out so if you want to build a system that actually looks a lot like what we have on

 the table, but add in a sub, you can do that and everything will easily integrate together

 and sound wonderful. The new amp is compatible with both the original Sonos S1 software environment

 and the newer S2 software environment. However, if you're just running newer Sonos products

 such as the amp, I highly recommend going with S2 as it is smoother, more feature rich

 and will be supporting upcoming features yet to be announced. The Sonos app allows you

 to easily browse music from a variety of sources such as Tidal, Amazon, Spotify, you name it.

 Basically any source is available and it's one of the most streamlined, best operating

 and user-friendly experiences I've ever seen for the playback of all of your music no matter

 where it comes from. The Sonos app also allows you to do a simple EQ by adjusting bass and

 treble right there in the app so you can dial in the listening experience that you were

 looking for. There is one more feature on the Sonos amp though that I think is actually
