Lastly, the button closure on the sheath is actually on the inside! That just blows my mind. For the price, it's not a terrible buy. But it's not going to replace my Mossy Oak knife for regular use by a long shot. It'll have to play second fiddle to my Gerber as well

It's a separate piece that can be removed from the sheath. My favorite part about this knife is the price. It's a good knife for an amazing price. Cold Steel sells this knife on their website for almost twice ad much as I paid here

-Sheath/scabbard - The material feels well constructed and the belt clip keeps it exactly where I want it to stay. If nothing else I would have paid this much just for the sheath. The blade's tip is impressive. If you know how to throw knives with accuracy or you want this for just its tip then you wont be disappointed

5mm thick around the edges and 1/8 or 3.5mm in the middle. The overall length of the knife is 8 and 5/8 inches long and is made from one solid chunk of steel, there is no rubber, plastic or wood on this knife just a battle ship colored hard coating (color may vary). The sheath of this knife is great I find Cold Steel always provides a decent sheath but the belt loop attachment is not so good it's made of webbed nylon with Velcro and a snap and a hard piece of plastic that mounts to the sheath and that's where the problem rears it's ugly head

When I saw the price I figured why not give it a try. I am so glad I did. When it arrived I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of it. The weight is almost perfect, but the balance seems be just aft of the guard

The size and weight means that it doesn't work very well as a backup knife, since it's heavier and bulkier than my G10 Espada. It would be a solid backup knife if you were going into battle, but definitely not for EDC. The ulti clip sheath works pretty well tho, so I bought a FGX ring dagger (2 oz, $7) to use with it for EDC.

Recently, I saw some of these S&W knives on sale at a deeply discounted price here on Amazon. So I ordered 3 of these out of curiosity. In MY world, they aren't junk or toys. They are full tang daggers made from quality steel with a leather locking scabbard and a steel spring belt clip

The size of the blade is what I expected (not trying to be Rambo), but the handle is rather small/shorter than expected. My hands are not huge mitts as you can see in the photos. Yet even still, the handle seems a tad bit too small.

I do not have big hands and it is barely big enough for mine. I plan on wrapping the handle in paracord to . make the grip more subattial and less smooth, which it is. Some texture would have been cool

The 7Cr17MoV Steel is supposed to be equally to a cheap 440A. Wouldn’t have expected any more from a Chinese made steel, and the Price for this dagger. However, as a knife collector, I’ve expected more quality from a S&W knife. It isn’t the sharpest of my collection OOB

I was under the impression that cold steel knives were USA made. Mine says made in Taiwan. So I'm a little disappointed with that but other than that I still love the knife. I was just hoping for a made in USA instead of made in Taiwan stamp

This is not something you want to take out in the woods and use as a Workhorse, it's a knife that's design to stab a soft target. The sheath is what I really want to talk about, and I'm impressed by Smith & Wesson's sheath for this knife. It's probably one of the best sheaths I've had for a boot knife. It actually stays clipped to my combat boot
