Very comfortable shirt, and have tried it for hiking, skiing, sleeping, and work (indoors and site) to try it in different situations - in my opinion, work well for all.

I bought this top and matching leggings for our 19-year-old soon, who is an avid hiker and photographer. He tried it on and it fit to a “t” in size Small men’s. (5’7”, 140 pounds). It’s slim without being constricting and very lightweight

I would not recommend the crew top at full price. However, if on sale you may want to size down with expectation of possible bagging out after wash.

Most of the merino clothing I own ends up getting holes in it over time, which is really my only complaint about the garments (I've since started storing them in plastic Ziploc bags with the air pushed out, so we'll see how that pans out). I have not owned this one long enough to tell, but so far it seems well constructed, comfortable, fits well, and is warm and dries well when it gets wet.

Disappointed that the the details are not forthcoming and upfront about it being 80% Murano wool 20% polyamide, however it does feel nice and is double thickness so hopefully should be warm.

The reason I'm rating it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the dye has reacted to sun exposure. I bought mine in black and the neck area that is often open to the sun has turned a slight rusty orange color. It doesn't matter to me, but I figured some people might be disappointed when there clothes start to change color.
