Quality and design

* The rack at the bottom: I prefer the fist design because it holds dishes better. I could not stand the second design and the latest design only gets high marks due to the protection added--overall, the first generation bottom rack layout still beats.

Still room for growth

  I bought this to replace a previous model that was very similar. Previous model was all plastic, was on legs and had the movable pour spout. I wanted something with the legs and spout feature again because why doesn't every dish rack have that? Seriously.  Pros: * The draining system is better than the previous model I had

 I was worried this would mean less room for utensils, but the utensil tray is bigger than on my last model so in the long run I just have more space and the knives are easier to deal with. * Glass drying hooks are an improved design, glasses feel much more secure in them. * Size is good. I'd totally buy one if they made a bigger model, but this is decent and can hold all of a single meal's dishes for my household

First, if you need a rack that will dry into your sink rather than just collecting a puddle or draining through a spout onto your counter, this is what you are looking for. Great except for the drop in part

Make sure you measure 2-3 times because this thing is big. Yes it works well, yes it seems to be made well (like many other simplehuman products I have in the kitchen). I was very disappointed to see that mine did not come with the bamboo knife cover as shown in other reviews, for the price tag I believe this should have been included. Debating on returning and grabbing the smaller version

 I do not expect them to withstand much use. I made sure to register my purchase, because I anticipate those being the point of failure on this one, and I doubt it will be anywhere close to ten years from now.  The previous model included a bamboo knife block that fit into either end of the utensil rack. That gave a safe place to let the sharp knives dry without so much risk of hitting their blades while placing other utensils

  Additionally, the previous model had cup holders that flipped out to hold the cups well away from the wall of the rack, and flipped back flat against the wall for compact storage or to grip items more tightly. The new model has fixed cup holders that are quite close to the wall, meaning they do not accommodate larger glasses, thick mugs, measuring cups, or even our stemless wine glasses. I do not expect them to withstand much use. I made sure to register my purchase, because I anticipate those being the point of failure on this one, and I doubt it will be anywhere close to ten years from now

Good product, but not nearly as good as it used to be.

. final month of purchases for a new apartment and then I'm done with Amazon. I'm tired of having to spend $80 for a quality piece of equipment and forced to look at cheaper options that shouldn't even be on sales floors because they are subpar quality for even a thrift market. Get your stuff together, but either way, I'll do my shopping in person from now on

This is a sad review

  It has a spout that swivels so wherever you place the rack next to your sink, you can make sure the spout empties out in the sink.  The wine glass holder is removable and foldable so you can put it away when you are not using it.  The cup holders on the side are solid and will hold the heaviest of mugs.  The tray underneath the cups is removable for easy cleaning

-1 star for price and the fact that the drain bottom could be more angled to improve the water flow into the drain spout.

Thoughtful and well designed product.  The dishrack is built almost like a sink to drain all the water towards the center.  It has a spout that swivels so wherever you place the rack next to your sink, you can make sure the spout empties out in the sink. The product I never knew I needed

 I am not sure why this inside coating is even needed but I am sure it cannot be healthy. Needless to say we will not be going with this brand in the future.

The iSpecle 201 Stainless 2-Tier dish rack is quite handy in the kitchen. It is a versatile rack that can be placed parallel or perpendicular to the sink because the drainboard is removable and the width is under 10". It could handle our eight-pound cast iron skillet with excellent stability on the top or bottom rack. It holds plates, bowls, and other cook and dishware without worry. We are also pleased with the removable utensil holder, as the silverware holds vertically in place while drying. The removable cutting board holder is a bonus, customizing the drying rack to the tester's preference. 
Despite its high scores on our metrics, the iSpecle still had some drawbacks. For example, assembly is required, and if using the two-inch included wrench is not your cup of tea, purchasing an assembled dish rack is recommended. However, if you want to work on basic assembly skills, it builds relatively fast and appears to be a steadfast partner by the sink. Another disadvantage is the silverware caddy does not have a drain rack, although it appears other models have one now. Overall, the iSpecle's compact yet sturdy build handles various dishware easily, making it an excellent choice for a smaller household.

 I have put a lot of weight on it; it doesn't budge! I am very pleased with this purchase. I use the s-hooks to hang utensils to dry, and a hand towel, but I added extra hooks as I needed more. I assembled the rack with all the the hooks towards the back, but after using it for a few days, I decided I would like some at the front bar too. I'm not great at assembly, so to avoid disassembling the rack to remove some of the hooks to move to the front bar, it was easier for me to buy extra s-hooks

We moved into our current apartment in Dec 2021. I had been wanting this rack since we lived in our old apartment. The kitchen here is much smaller and I had been putting off ordering this just because I thought it a bit frivolous on our tight budget. But I said enough is enough

  Now for the bad. The bowl tray is only made for small bowls. Average sized bowls won't fit in the slots. Smaller cups will also work

Mostly good

I loved the look of this, as well as getting my dishes up off the counter and away from the germy sink. (You couldn’t PAY me to use one of those in-sink drying racks that save counter space and contaminate your dishes.)  It doesn’t work for big things like baking sheets, cutting boards, or a skillet larger in diameter than 9”. Even if they did fit in there, the rack itself is pretty flimsy and lightweight, so they might topple it easily

Rattles constantly, but looks nice

This product is ultimately too cheap to make good on it's promise to resist rust and last. Its says it's 201 stainless steel which is more like the cheap shower tools that rust and get thrown away than the everlasting products made of 304 that truly last and don't rust. The drying rack is a bit narrow so the drying area is smaller than you'd think going from a more square drying tabletop rack. The rack comes in two parts and the problem is that there's an air gap where the two parts meet
