I'm gonna take this jig, make a cast. Threw that thing on our 25 yards. No issues. Super smooth, really comfortable in the hand

After three short mornings of fishing, it has worn in appreciably so it casts further than when it was out of the box new. It's not the same "feeling" of quality as my Ambassadeur C3, but it catches fish just fine. I would say that you can make more casts per minute than a spinning rig, but fewer than with a fly rig. For the price it's a great rig

I’ve had several low profile baitcasters, but this is my favorite performing yet. Super easy to adjust the spool brake by selecting settings 1 - 4. The spool tensioner is similarly easy to adjust because it doesn’t have to be as exact for each lure like with other baitcasters. I adjusted mine one time and just change the brake settings depending on how heavy/arrow dynamic a lure is

Is the curado dc worth it over the slx dc? I've heard the only major difference is the gears and I'm not sure that reeling a bit smoother can justify the price difference. 2. Is there any major reason to pick the dobyns fury over the st Croix bass x or vice versa?

An Abu Garcia Black Max or Revo X are both solid choices for under $100. The Revo X is about $99 on Amazon at the moment. Check your local tackle shops, they might be having sales as well that bring down the price a lot. I nabbed a Revo Stx which is normally around $200 for $100 during a black friday sale

That when I learned the drag on this reel at 11 pounds suck!!!!. At $249.00 it might make a high priced crappie rig. If Shimano ever makes an upgraded drag too 15 -17 pounds let me know

I haven't tested the drag much, so I can't say if it's good or bad. I'd recommend this reel to anyone, especially those new to baitcasters. The value probably can't be beat.
