The Shark Rotator Lift-Away ADV is a corded upright/handheld vacuum. It delivers superb bare-floor cleaning performance and should clear most kinds of debris on both low and high-pile carpet. It's also fairly configurable to suit different cleaning requirements, with two different suction levels, two floor settings, and a decently wide assortment of tools and brushes. Unfortunately, it's quite heavy, and its short vacuum hose makes cleaning high-placed areas and furniture a little tricky in its semi-handheld 'Lift-Away' mode

the cord is very short. I have to switch outlets often. Also the hose is so short and is attached to an awkward plastic handle that makes its nearly impossible to use with the tools (see pic). When using the extension piece with the tools you have to completely unwind and remove the cord to use and the piece is heavy and awkward to use

I'm very happy with my new vacuum purchase. The only problem I have with it is that the cord is not long enough. My old vacuum (a Dyson) had a very long cord where I only had to use 2 different outlets in the hall and it reached everywhere. This cord I have to use 3 outlets, 2 in the hall and one in the master bedroom/bathroom

I'd say the suction is about 75% of what the Dyson does based on my experience. The Dyson is more ergonomically friendly and that's what the Shark is lacking. Bottom line, I'd recommend this vacuum cleaner but if you've got a bigger budget, go with something better.

The only reason I could not give it five stars is because this thing truly has a mind of its own during normal vacuuming operation. What I mean is, the unit is so powerful that it will take you for a jog if you are not careful, especially moving forward. There is a bit of effort required to control it as it wants to run when you only want to walk. I was surprised by this as the other Shark does no such thing and is much easier to control

I have a lab and a border collie mix, and the [Shark Navigator Lift Away 2XL capacity]([URL REMOVED] handles hair, dirt, and everything else they track through the house like a champ, and comes apart so easily if the brush roller needs cleaned. It has a hard floor setting and a carpet setting, and you can adjust the suction level on it too if you need to vacuum a rug without it getting sucked in.

The reason I'm giving this vacuum 4 stars is for 2 drawbacks. One is that the suction is SO GOOD that the vacuum tends to take off a little bit by itself when you first turn it on and it pulls kind of hard. If you let go, it keeps going. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair so there have been a few times where I lost control of it and it pulled out of my hand, so I have to be really careful

The vacuum comes with four attachments and space to store only 2 of them on the vacuum itself. This is infuriating and lazy design. You can store the vacuum upright and take it out of storage with a single hand. But then you'll have to go crawling around looking for the two attachments that don't stay on the vacuum

Despise the hoses falling apart. So I decided to by this Shark. I love it. The design is so well thought out

It's tiny and they recommend washing it, which makes it lose its integrity as a hepa filter. The real filtering is farther inside and consists of a couple of sponges that immediately fill up with dirt and need to be washed (and dried) often. Cord: It has a very short cord - this problem is easily solved with an extension cord of course. It is also poorly placed, so you have to put it up over your shoulder to keep from stepping on it, which makes the cord even shorter

Really appreciate the sealed filtration system as when vacuuming is complete, you dust have or smell the remnants of recent vacuuming dust/odor. Nice lightweight machine.

This vacuum replaced a 12-year old Dyson, which has frustrated me for 12 years. It finally broke, and I ordered this one through Prime. The assembly is simple, as everything goes logically into place and snaps in without effort. The cord is ample length

Even better? The canister and filters are all unbelievably easy to clean and wash when needed ! Such a great feature to keep the vacuum working at its best!

I have owned a lot of different brand vacuum cleaners, Shark is definitely one of my top favorites. The suctioning power lasts with this brand. The key is to clean your filters regularly. Especially if you live where you get a lot of dust in your home or if you have pets

Like this Shark Vacuum. Happy with the price from Walmart. I do have one concern. I cant find replacement filters for this vacuum on Walmarts web site
