Shark Cordless Vertex Pro Powered Lift-Away vs Karcher CV300

While you can't adjust its brushroll height to accommodate for very shaggy carpeting, it still performs amazingly well on low and high-pile rugs. Like most of Shark's other upright vacuums, it uses the brand's 'Lift-Away' design, which allows you to pick up and carry its canister body with one hand while cleaning hard-to-reach areas with its wand and hose. Using it in its most powerful suction mode can drain its battery in as little as 10 minutes, so you need to work quickly when vacuuming stubborn debris, though running it in its 'ECO' mode does extend its runtime drastically.

Suction is good, and you have the option to run it in "Quiet" mode although even on full power it's quieter than my previous vacuum. I've also heard good things about the Karcher CV300 ($400) but not sure how they stack up.

Note that the suction from the wand, is very low. I have a hand vac I use instead for crevices, ridiculous, I knowww. It’s not worth the high cost. My apartment is wood floor throughout with a couple rugs

Spent a good amount of time on the web looking at reviews before deciding to buy this vacuum cleaner. I have used Bissel and Kenmore before this one and certainly Karcher has a lot more suction power. This model is geared towards carpeted places and you can buy a separate attachment for hardwood. It is not a light vacuum though, so if that’s a concern I would not recommend this

Suction power does not compare at all with shark corded, and that is what I am gonna buy again, a corded shark. Also, using on the stronger suction mode ( definitely needed for carpet) will give you only 10 minutes running time. Maybe in a few years I will give it a shot again on the cordless, hopefully power and battery life will improve!!

The lights are bright, emptying the bin is easy, the cleaner is quiet, it is easy to change the speeds, it picks up quite large pieces, cleans more than adequately and the battery comes out (easily) to charge anywhere you like (worktop, floor etc.) in its own charging unit, so you don't have to store the vacuum near a charging point. Charging from 10% takes up to 3.5 hours

You get the vacuum, a manual, and 1 set of filters installed. The swivel head is not important to me, but I could buy it as an attachment later. The retractable handle is not important to me. The multiple power settings is not important to me

Things I prefer vs a Dyson: - The battery is removable and docks into a charger rather than docking the entire vacuum. - The motor and dust bin are lower to the ground. The is much better ergonomically than a dyson that puts the weight of the motor right by your hand. - the rollers never get hair stuck in them

This vacuum's really well made and easy to work on, more so than 95% of vacuums on the market.

I like the eco to boost power modes as well for different types of situations where you need more power. It is easy to maneuver and flexes enough to get underneath the hard to get areas underneath furniture. I am totally OCD and vacuum every day to pickup pet fur on our dark wood floors and carpet so I am very happy with this product. I love the HEPA filtration system and all of the handheld attachments it comes with

The brushroll on those is designed to pop out in less than 10 seconds for really fast cleaning, and the whole design makes clog removal very easy. You might also look into something like a SEBO 300 Mechanical or Lindhaus Activa if you'd prefer a traditional upright, but these two are gonna be less common.
