These are great and even if they did get rid of the iron in Cannon and now have a raptor and a shudder cat

 Free parking is a boring space. You land there and nothing happens. Just visiting jail is the same way. You say, but yeah you can spice up monopoly by putting money on free parking, we're putting money in the middle of the board and anytime you pay the bank

Why I HATE Monopoly

 Today. I'M gon na be playing with my two best friends, my sister Kayla and my adorable boyfriend Zach, who do you think will win and, yes, we are playing on the floor because being the unusual person that I am, we don't have a dining room table and chairs. Instead, we have a wall of dragons, hey guys. I have more babies looking for homes, they need hugs and snuggles

 Well, in this case, they're supposed to be diners and pizza reads. This makes sense from a monopoly standpoint, but uh am I going to be building a diner on Bal Laura? Does that mean Bell or is gon na, have her own diner? What happens when I have two or three or four diners? Is she just gon na take turns working in each one? I find this actually kind of funny, but also weird before I open the box, I was wondering what they do with these pieces and we kind of came up with the idea that maybe they're animatronic upgrades, which honestly I think would have made a lot more sense And shouldn't have been very hard to do so. I was a bit bummed. They weren't very unique with those you may be thinking always probably too much work to replace the house and hotel pieces with some brand-new piece

 What this is so cool, the cheapest characters are from sister location, which makes no sense. They seem like they'd, be the most expensive, but at the same time, the order of these characters go by game builder, the game, the more expensive the character, which makes total sense from a nostalgic standpoint. Of course, everyone's gon na want Freddy and golden Freddy, which are placed in the most expensive spots. The images of these characters are just fantastic

Well, actually, it's probably not that hard. Why You Should NEVER Play MONOPOLY Again

 Add in the luck cards and the possibility of jail time and don't forget the bidding wars and the ability to mortgage your property to get out of debt or refinance to buy more property. This is a great representation of Capitalism at its best, teaching children the concept of adding and subtracting, how much effect luck has on life, and how to make calculated decisions such as, "do I keep enough cash to survive this round or should I risk it on expanding my empire with the potential to make more money?"  Will you be ruthless enough to bankrupt your opponents and win the game or will you settle for the more gentile "timed" version and see who has the most assets after a few hours? The choices are yours..

Superb classic family board game

I hate Monopoly.  At this point I refuse to play it.  But Mario Kart Monopoly feels far more like an actual Mario Party boardgame than either Monopoly or Mario Kart itself.

The game lasts maybe 40 minutes by design.  You're collecting coins from properties and from other players, but the coins only allow you to "buy in" to the Grand Prix races, and the Grand Prix trophies are how the winner is determined.

What is the r/boardgames opinion on the Super Mario Party series of videogames? 

 

The latest one is being called “the best yet” from a lot of reviewers, but it is still stuck in the world of “roll-to-move”, a lot of take-that elements, and straight-up unfairness (e.g. sometimes “stars”, the winning currency, can be just pulled from you at a moment’s notice, too bad), yet despite all those things a lot of regular modern boardgamers would be against, the Mario Party games are still super popular.  The mini-game side of Mario Party games are entertaining to me, but the rest can be very frustrating, and a full game can take a lot longer than it should given the depth of the system in general.

 

Do you think they still hold a good place to introduce videogamers to the world of board gaming regardless?
