Saucony Peregrine 12 | Trail Shoe For The People | FULL REVIEW

 Let'S get into this thing, i talk about the things i like and dislike about every product. I review on this channel. These are no different, but start as always with the things that i like the grip. I think these things are incredible

 So not only are these lugs getting you that grip, but the outsole itself is providing just enough protection underfoot fit now. This is because of this new upper, so the upper's been redesigned. The welded overlays are pretty minimal, but they are in the right places for that protection across uh, the toe box, and things like that. The mesh is lighter, it's thinner, it's more breathable, but what i love is the mid foot, fit the lacing system and across the toe box it's a more precision fit, and i say that with a bit of an asterisk, because i don't think it's solomon precision fit Where sometimes that just doesn't work for people and tends to be a bit narrower, i do think that the peregrine 12 has a decent sized toe box a fit across the midfoot that locks your foot down and a really solid heel cup that locks your ankle in, As well, there's not an abundance of materials to make the fit cumbersome and there's not a reduced amount of materials to make it weak

 I'Ve already mentioned that a number of times in this review. So, let's just get more specific here in our breakdown, where we talk about the build comfort, fit price and looks starting as always with build quality. I mentioned the durability concerns i'm not running into that right now, but i do just based off of the upper materials sort of coming apart a little bit uh. It does give me a little bit of pause comfort

 I actually think the shoe's priced okay for what you get. I think it's a great uh entry level shoe a great shoe for people to add to their rotation of trail shoes if you're looking for like keeping a shoe for race day and that sort of thing, if you're, looking at training and logging lots of middle distance Miles this may not be that kick i think. 130 bucks is a pretty good price point. Uh

SAUCONY PEREGRINE 12 REVIEW | The Ginger Runner

 I haven't had an issue with that. It'S felt very comfortable for me, but i think some people were hoping for a deeper softer level of cushioning in the new peregrine. That'S obviously where the new exodus ultra will come in into the saucony lineup when it is released. So when it comes down to the new peregrine, we are fans here at run for adventure, so it is going to score a high performing super versatile 9 out of 10 for comfort and performance

 I couldn't believe it either when i popped the shoe on the scales and it weighed in at 290 grams in a men's uk 9.5 compared to 343 grams of the previous model, and that is pretty impressive. To lose. That kind of weight on an update to an existing model

The channel knows i was a massive fan of the peregrine tent and a lot of that came down to the fit of the shoe it just worked for my foot shape so well, really well locked down around the midfoot really well held and supported by that heel Cup, just the right width in the toe box and again just the right level of sort of padding and breathability in that upper when he was updated to the peregrine 11. I just feel sock and he added a bit too much stuff to the upper too much gump too much padding, and i just didn't feel that it gave me that precise fit anymore. Don'T get me wrong

Runners looking for an ultra-plush, pillowy landing base will find the neutral Kinvara 12 to be a little too minimalist. Because they are flexible and less rigid, they also don't score as high in the lateral stability department. However, the structure is strong enough to support mild, fatigue-induced pronation. Runners who land heavily might not be as successful as we were &mdash; heavy steppers typically need a bit more underfoot cushion to protect their joints. The Kinvara offers a more lightweight style landing, so be sure to keep that in mind. The Kinvara is a superb choice if you're looking to dip your toes into a more minimalist style but aren't sure you want to commit. The shape is reminiscent of a traditional runner but with all of the goodies of a neutral and responsive shoe.  If you have a wider foot, just keep that in mind, as you are picking up the kinvara 12 comfort score again, not definitely not plush upper, not a plush ride and they're not going for that at all. Not you know i could bend it if i want to, but it does have a little bit of strength. There, through the heel, counter semi-gusseted tongue and the eyelet chain, um, actually there's my lockdown score on your screen

Best Running Shoes for Women of 2022 - GearLab

 It just feels a lot leaner and a lot lighter than what you're getting with that shoe. In fact, the whole shoe scene seems a lot lighter from the midsole to the cushioning that sits around the collar here. So it's a it's a much more stripped down shooter if you, if you've, ran in the kimvara before there's the addition of a very minimal heel, pull here, which is just like an extended little bit of rubber to help pull the shoe on there's. Also, this sort of flared midsole section here at the end and we've seen a lot of running shoes over the past year - do stuff with this heel section

 I think this upper material is just a little bit lighter and a little bit um. It just feels like there's a bit more give in it than there was in the canva 11, but yeah. If it was true to size for me, i wouldn't go up or down size. I find the kinvara series quite difficult to classify these days because there's so many shoes around at the moment that do similar things that the kinvara is it's quite a difficult one

 I think, in terms of as a more speed focused firmer shoe compared to a slightly softer 11 but yeah. For me, it's not one that will go in my rotation uh, despite the fact that it's got an absolutely fantastic design. My verdict on the kinvara 12 is that it's a completely competent shoe for running at faster pace, but in a world where there's so many shoes on offer, and so many new technologies, especially like carbon plates and things like that. It'S very difficult to fit this into

 So, for me, the fit of the kinvara 12 was true to size. I actually thought it was going to come up quite narrow, but that wasn't the case um i and it's quite long at the front, plain room in the toe box and a good amount of width on the sides. It'S the same size, i've worn in the past two editions of the kinvara, so yeah, true to size, the fit for me was fine um. I did find that the 12 feels a little bit looser

 It'S not set up for you guys who are looking for those lazy days um and you know what actually. This is the thing with the canvara and i'll get onto this now um, because i'm kind of struggling to see where this now sits in the saucony lineup. And i tell you - and this is a problem that sucking have created for themselves because they're doing such an awesome job with their shoes bear with me on this. You'Ve got the ride 13, which is about to be replaced by the 14 by the way, which is an evolution of the 13, which i think is still one of the best daily trainers out

 We'Ve got a knit upper on the shoe. It'S got. Power run cushioning in the midsole flexible, sole design, which quickly to give you that transition from landing is a takeoff uh engineered mesh up of a structure, blah blah blah recycled pet linings, which is good rubber at tow and heel for durability, form fit performance, contour, footbed And form to you, memory, foam technology in the footbed um in terms of drop, it is four millimeters. So i see this shoe for me against the like evo ride and the skechers razer 3

 It'S a it's, a problem created by soccer from being awesome. If you want a daily trainer from saucony, get the ride. If you want sort of a racing or racial shoe from saucony, buy the speed or buy the pro, you know 155 pounds 120 pounds. If you can get the other 30 quid together

 This is a rebuild there's. A new shoe, the tooling on the midsole is different, but let's just get into the top here. You'Ve got a breathable mesh like material. It'S not that fun to feel it's kind of rough yeah

 I do feel like it molds. Well, it does and it breathes well. Sometimes i feel, like you - do have a little bit of extra fabric in here with these types of uppers. Sometimes yes, i mean you can see

 I i do think it's a little much. I personally this reminded me of the skating rink that i used to go to when i was a lad with the black light two years ago, yeah with the black lights streaming and stuff like that, so the colorway isn't my favorite, but the design of the shoe Is right and it looks fast and it looks like a faster shoe again. What i will tell you is i've, seen some of the colors robbie and that are coming out for this. So if you're, not down with this vibe, there's definitely some exciting stuff coming for you with some of the colors that will be coming out yeah
