I took apart the head, which is very easy to do, unclogged it, and cleared the brush. I also washed out the sponge filter at the top of the canister with a bit of dish soap, rinsed it well, and let it dry. This vac is a lot more convenient than my main vac and it does well for what I use it for, but it cannot compete for carpet cleaning.

The latches and release buttons just feel like they’re going to break if you’re not extremely careful with this thing. I also wanted to buy the clean station to go with it and that’s why I’m here to hopefully warn people. Samsung is discontinuing the clean station. I like the sleek design, and the suction power is good, but there's a lot that I don't like. Maybe I'm spoiled by my last vacuum. I have carpet and three dogs. It doesn't pull itself, so vacuuming carpets requires a little bit of elbow grease

UPDATE 11/13/13 Well another piece has broken. We had been working harmoniously without the beater bar on our hardwood since Spring, but now a piece of the red plastic insert on the inside of the canister broke so it will not stay snuggly attached while I am vacuuming. Without that piece on, all the hair and big chunks get sucked into the filter area. The brush bar on our 11 year old Dyson also broke last week, so I am trying to decide whether to buy a new Dyson upright, or just keep the old Dyson for our hardwood floors and deep cleaning, and get a new Linx to use on our three rugs

powerful device, cannot believe how much crud it captures. they have really focused on the filtering as well, no dust and dirt filling up the room as you vacuum.

When I noticed the suction wasn't as good, I just cleaned the removable filter and let it dry. It worked as good as new after that. Also, you will occasionally have to remove hair that has accumulated in the dust cup. The cyclonic action tends to make it wrap around the "dirt cup baffle" as Hoover calls it

You have to take the whole dust cup off the vacuum and can be a bear to put back on. The fact it has a hepa filter is great, many vacuums do not offer a hepa. I also felt the handle was not the best design and felt small and at an awkward angle. The powered hand tool also accumulated hair more than I felt was appropriate and flipped upward on the backstroke when cleaning my couch
