Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 vs Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3

The 40mm version fits nicely on my smaller wrist and the metal finish looks premium compared with the first Galaxy Watch Active. The aluminum version is available in black, silver or pink gold with a synthetic rubber strap, while the stainless-steel version comes in a silver, black or gold finish, with a leather band. The LTE version is only available in stainless steel. The color AMOLED screen is bright and easy to see in direct sun, as long as you have the brightness cranked up to its maximum

I used an Asus Zenwatch 2 and got as a present a fitbit Inspire 2. I liked the functionality of the Wear OS and when I started to use the fitbit I liked the monitoring of health and sleep functions. Need to say that the inspire 2 works very well in the sleep tracking, the step count and heart rate monitor. Since this watch have all the functions plus the oxygen monitor and the best performance of the battery not only because of the capacity of the battery but the use of the dual display this looks the right option

After a while though, the battery life got so bad that after about 8 hours, not even enough time for me to make it back to my house, it dropped below 30% and switched to battery saver mode. So, I was on the lookout for a new watch and had heard about the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS and how it used the new Snapdragon 4100 processor. When it came on sale on Prime day, I just had to have it. I've worn the watch for about a week straight now and I have to say it's been a little bit of a disappointment

During an outdoor run, the Active2 logged 1.13 miles to the Stryd's 1.0 mile, for a difference of 0.13

I no longer consider this feature a differentiator. Like so many people today, I have multiple devices that track my activities - Garmin and Wahoo bike computers, this type of integrated usage tracking and application integration is a must. I used the watch when I swam as well but I didn’t use any of the apps to track my speed, distance, etc. The watch, however, did track my active heart rate

* Still no real iMessage competitor! Google Messages is clunky/slow and Link-to-Windows stopped working a few months back and the only solution I've found online is to factory reset my phone. Uh, no.

What ultimately worked was 3D Printing a dock of my own. It's on Thingiverse if anyone else has this problem. I've had trouble with the docks in the past watches, but this is a step backwards for the Ticwatch. They really need to step it up with this on the next version and maybe consider wireless charging

It looks great. It has many nice features. I'd recommend the company steal Amazfit's power scheme, this watch can and should get a week or two between charges. Giving an option to make Google Fit the single source of truth across all displays on the watch would also be a good thing, especially since it is a Google Wear OS watch and many buying it are getting it for that exact reason

It's really soothing. Reminds me of an old clock I had in my house and the white noise is relaxing.

Its comfortable to wear and I'm normally not a fan of things on my wrist. It doesn't always track my sleep, but i also charge it at night as i use it in full mode where you get about a day and a half of battery.. so i charge it nightly so i have the next day

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active a couple of years ago because my Pebble was showing its age and Rebble wasn't cutting it anymore. I just wanted something waterproof, lasts at least 2-3 days, easy to use, and gives me notifications. I'm probably easier to please when it comes to features than most people. It did the job just fine imo

I use it for weather, walk tracking, and Hangouts messages and texts (until that's killed off in January anyway). \+ Handles notifications well.

Running into this issue about a week after updating to latest version which included some of the new Watch faces from GW4. It is unrecoverable at this point. I force reboot by pressing both buttons for 10 seconds, it shows the Samsung Watch Active 2 boot screen, says rebooting, then the same logo without "rebooting", then just a logo with "Samsung", then the vibrator turns on briefly, then the unit powers off. Unable to get it to stay running

Yeah. They already confirmed the TicWatch 3 Pro WILL WITHOUT NO DOUBT receive the update to the new Wear OS.

The charging is relatively fast, enough for it to almost be 100 before I sleep after a 15 min charge. Durability/ waterproofing: I heard a lot of people say that they use this watch for swimming, but I'm too scared to take a 250 dollar device into the pool. I wouldn't personally recommend it. The durability seems good though, but I haven't run into any problems

I’ve seen stories about sensors failing after a shower and where direct streams of water can over pressurize the IP68 rating. I am an avid fisher and boater; I will have to worry about accidental water exposure, and I am hesitant to trust the “pool swimming suitable” rating from Mobvoi. I do not want to brick a $300 watch. This is the reason why I can top up the device as needed while showering, 15 minutes of charging seems to increase the battery by about 10%
