 That sounds about the same as last year's galaxy s21 ultra, which lasted for about a day and a half in our testing. That'S not bad, but it would have been nice to see some improvements over last year: [, Music, ] overall, the galaxy s22 ultra is really a successor to the galaxy note. 20 ultra sure it does have some things in common with the s21 ultra, especially when it comes to the camera, but in terms of what sets this phone apart from the other galaxy s22s, the design, the giant screen and the included stylus, are a big part of That, in other ways, the galaxy s22 ultra is just an iterative update on the galaxy s21 ultra sure it has a new processor, a fresh design and faster charging and samsung did deliver on its promise to improve low light photography. But those camera upgrades are kind of incremental plus you can also get them on the s22 and s22 plus the photography improvements are much appreciated, but they're, probably not enough to get pro photographers, really excited about this phone again

 Although this photo i took doesn't have as much detail compared to the ultra's photo. You also might be wondering how the galaxy s22 ultra stands up against the competition. The s22 ultra was better at taking pictures of people than the pixel 6 pro, but google's phone was able to focus better on still objects, even though the picture was darker overall, the iphone 13 pro, on the other hand, was better than the s22 ultra when shooting Still objects but not low light portraits.  In other words, samsung's older phones were able to improve brightness through the pixel binning process, but they weren't able to combine that with the detail from the main sensor. That'S changing with the galaxy s 22. Lineup. To put these claims to the test, i took several photos with the galaxy s22 ultra and the galaxy s21 ultra

 The subject looks crisper and there's a lot more detail, but and had a harder time focusing on still objects in the foreground, like this stack of books. These night photography changes also apply to the regular s22 and s22 plus, but since the ultra has a higher resolution, main camera that works to its advantage, still the cheaper galaxy s22 plus also takes decent photos in the dark. Just go with Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra for the best bet since you got the budget. It fits all your requirements but without headphone jack. 

So I’m currently using an iPhone 11 Pro Max and I think with my next upgrade I will be switching to Android to try it out for the first time.

 But unfortunately, the new Xclipse GPU doesn't really look like a finished product yet, so gamers (still) have to be content with reduced details and low frame rates in a high-end smartphone. While Samsung will probably still bring some improvements in this regard via updates, considering the premium price, users should surely be able to expect a more mature product here. 

Surely the SoC policy of Samsung is questionable. Because of the cooperation with AMD and the mighty fuss that Samsung created around this, the Exynos was expected eagerly. But unfortunately, the new Xclipse GPU doesn't really look like a finished product yet, so gamers (still) have to be content with reduced details and low frame rates in a high-end smartphone. While Samsung will probably still bring some improvements in this regard via updates, considering the premium price, users should surely be able to expect a more mature product here

The same goes for the adaptive control of the refresh rate of the AMOLED display. Even though Samsung promises between 1 and 120 Hz, the lowest refresh rate is much higher at 24 Hz. So there is still some work to do for Samsung here as well, particularly since there continue to be some stutters in the system, which hasn't improved much until now even after two updates. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is a powerful piece of technology the competitors will have to be measured against, even if not everything runs smoothly in the beginning yet

Verdict - Samsung still has some work to do

 But photos from the 3x zoom in good lighting look excellent — pets and humans alike. It can still get tripped up on some details, but it gets a lot right, even wispy hair and glasses.

In everyday use, the S22 Ultra performs like the $1,200 flagship that it is. Jumping from app to app is quick, graphics-intensive games run smoothly, and everything looks buttery smooth on the 120Hz display. In my testing, it was a very rare occurrence to see the screen stutter as I scrolled, and in the cases where it did, I don’t think it was the phone’s fault (I’m looking at you, Twitter for Android).

The rear camera array is one way you can immediately differentiate the Ultra from the S22 and S22 Plus, but it also stands apart with curved edges on the long sides of its screen, where the others have flat displays. It looks nice and makes the tiny bezels on the sides all but disappear, but I ran my stylus off the edge of the screen one too many times, expecting a flat surface where there wasn’t one. Personally, I could live with a little bit of bezel to avoid the whole situation.

 The Ultra and S22 Plus have OLED screens with higher 1,750 nits peak brightness, but all three have a top refresh rate of 120Hz. Only the Ultra uses an LTPO display, which allows the screen to change its refresh rate more than the other models, which in theory helps save battery life. It’s a huge, 6.8-inch 1440 x 3088 panel, so every bit of power saving can make a big difference

A worthy Note successor that stands alone

If you get the best tablet or phone there is, there is no need to get another for at least 3-5 years, then software might become outdated. Everything released in between is just noise to me. Even a $600 phone can do exactly what a $1200-1500 s22 ultra or whatever can do. Tablets might be a different story, but you just have to reset your brain that all these things aren't necessary

Also resisting the urge to get a tab S8+. Currently reading on a 6 year old Lenovo tablet which works just fine, no need to upgrade but it sure looks cool.

I have everything I need materially, and more than I could have ever asked for in my relationships. But I sabotage myself because I’m never content. 

For example, I’ll be spending time with my partner, and then get agitated because I feel I should be working rather than enjoying my time. That then creates tension for both of us, and I kick myself for that because I’m trying to be present but I can’t help but feel I can’t enjoy my time until I achieve external goals. Afterwards, I remind myself that the moments I’m going to hold most precious are with people, not my work, but I still commit the same mistakes. 

And rather than enjoy the things I already own, I’m always picking out what they don’t feature — for example, with my tech devices I have one of the best tablets on the market but I can’t help keep looking around for the next “upgrade”. I resist the urge to buy, but it’s a real battle for me because I’m never satisfied with what my current items offer me. 

I already own few things and that’s great. But that’s all a numbers game and external. It doesn’t mean much if I own fewer than 50 items if I can’t get the deep stuff right. How do I start tackling the internal facets of minimalism and find contentment in my life?

How do I find contentment in that which I already have?

UI – loving the freshnessan, speed and responsiveness, though One UI 4.0 did have a ton of customization, especially when using Good Lock and all the theming options there. I have installed Lawnchair instead of using the stock Pixel launcher, so gives me the feel of stock, but with tons of theming/UI tweaks (can’t stand the Google Search being the bottom bar)

Battery – I don’t have a 5G contract, so I disabled 5G, set brightness to adaptive and so far I am getting 7 to 8 hours plus of screen on time, so no complaints. Charging does seem a little slower, but to 50/60% it’s about the same.

 The s22 ultra shares the same camera setup as the s21 ultra with a 108 megapixel main sensor, a 12 megapixel ultra wide option and a pair of 10 megapixel telephoto lenses what's new this year are features like auto, framing and improved video stabilization and videos better stereo Depth, mapping for more accurate portrait blur and something samsung is calling adaptive pixel this stitches together high res images from the 108 megapixel sensor and a photo taken with nona binning for bigger pixels to capture more light, supposedly resulting in brighter pictures that retain crisp detail. In reality, adaptive pixel is tricky to figure out and its results might not be worth the effort. First, you have to set the s22 ultra shoot at the highest resolution and then, when the system detects your shooting in low light, it performs the stitching. In the background

 You might notice, though, that the s92 ultra is about 21 grams or 0.74 ounces heavier the phone weighs more than the pixel 6 pro too, although the iphone 13 pro max still beats it at 240 grams, google's premium flagship already reminded us of the note 20. Ultra aside from its colorful two-tone design and camera bar, instead of a rectangular module at the top left corner housing, the array of sensors, the s22 ultra's cameras are neatly laid out in two columns on the back with no boundaries containing them. I prefer this neater less cluttered, look to the note 20 and s21 ultra's versions

 There are no user facing indicators. I shot a few photos of the new york city nightscape with the s22 ultra, both at the default 12 megapixel setting and at 108 megapixels, and they were mostly indistinguishable from each other. When i zoomed in to see more detail, buildings looked equally muddy, mostly due to flares from the various lights in the image. I took more pictures in low light with the camera set to default resolution and 108 megapixels and honestly, the effects were incredibly subtle

 Samsung is saying that all power users should want to use the stylus, whether it be for creating art, taking notes or remote controlling your camera. That'S not to say that there is nothing new about the s22 ultra samsung's brought updated camera display and software features this year as well. It'S strange to review a phone, that's supposed to be new, but feels so familiar if you've been missing. The note series that familiarity will be welcome, but for those simply considering a new galaxy s flagship, are there enough improvements? Besides the s pen to warrant buying the s22 ultra [ Music ], the differences between the s22 ultra and last year's model starts with their design
