 Not a bad compromise as I at least don’t have to have any software just to do that at start up.

New home appliance

 After setting this as the default storage for the console, I installed several games with no issues. Installs were fairly quick, with the exception of downloads taking their time for digital games or in my case, updates after installing the disk version. This memory has good speed and having used a Samsung SSD as a computer boot drive for years, I know the memory is reliable. The memory also has a good 5-year warranty, which may get tested in a console

 I do think these are a bit pricy even on sale, but if you play a lot of console games, a necessary purchase.  4 stars

will i recommend it to a friend? no!  do your research and find out which other pcie4.0 m.2 drives beat this one and buy literally any of those.

will you get the advertised speeds? yes for a while till you run out of that single layer cache.

265 encoder on Nvidia GPUs, you can do the same with the 6800 XT, and it's actually pretty damn fast. In fact, I found it to be on par with the RTX 3090 when it came to export times here, which is super impressive. Video stabilization time was a bit slower though, so your actual workflow might be a little bit slower depending on the program and effects that you're using. And I won't forget to mention that the 6800 XT has a huge 16GB of video memory to play with, that does give it a lot more headroom when it comes to higher resolution footage over the 3080

 But here's where things don't look so great. If you're someone who enjoys recording gameplay and capturing highlights and replays, you'll be making your life a lot easier with an Nvidia GPU. AMD's Radeon Relive has been a huge gamble depending on which card you're using it with, and the implementation for the 6800 XT is simply broken. Even just enabling the instant replay functionality in the background causes huge repeated stutters at fixed intervals in games, and when you go back and watch one of those replays, the file is somehow corrupted

 Ultimately, it is the Radeon 6800 XT that's the best choice when it comes to gaming performance for the money, and also gaming performance per watt. But I can't help but feel that with the RTX 3080, you are actually getting your money's worth for that extra $50. You will be able to record your games with Nvidia's ShadowPlay, boost your framerate by a significant amount with DLSS in a few titles, you will also be able to stream your games with their on-board NVENC encoder, and also have CUDA support in production workloads. These aren't fluff features, some users would easily consider these to be dealbreakers
