Samsung 980 Pro vs ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro

**GPU** As for the GPU, I went with a 3-fan, 2-slot RTX 3060 Ti from EVGA. This case supports even larger 3-slot cards, but I wasn't looking to break the bank on anything fancier than a 3060 Ti. There are 2-fan variants available, but considering I had the space for some extra cooling and I'm hoping this thing runs quietly, I decided to upgrade to a mid-range 3-fan card.

Plus, my experience with their RMA process hasn't given me any additional confidence. RMA processes are notoriously painful, but ADATA's website, at the time of writing, is basically non-functional for RMA's. I started multiple cases and got case numbers, but never got an e-mail about them, nor would they show up in their buried lookup tool. They get replaced because you just need more storage space. XPG does not have such a great reputation in this respect. If you are provisioning your main computer drive (boot/Windows), paying a premium for Samsung is worth it in every case. XPG SX8200 is better suited for temporary/unimportant fast storage needs, such as games, media scratch, program scratch, etc

Not a bad compromise as I at least don’t have to have any software just to do that at start up.

will i recommend it to a friend? no! do your research and find out which other pcie4.0 m.2 drives beat this one and buy literally any of those.

First of all the software works only with Windows. If you're running Ubuntu Linux like I do, I guess they don't want to do business with you. Then when it's time to download "Acronis True Image" for your Windows 10 installation because you bought it with the SSD, you find their instructions are plenty wonky. They ask for a validation code that just doesn't come with the SSD, saying that it's on the sticker adhered to the product

And just to address the elephant that I’m sure somebody will try to let into the room - yes this case has the completely new PCIe riser in it. No fire risk included.

Short note? Not suitable for low clearance connections, check your hardware first prior to installation or purchase. Other than that the drives performed as advertised.
