 This is not a rug for heavy traffic areas, but fantastically cozy to sit and step on. Highly recommended, good quality for the price.

 The only con to this rug is vacuuming it, you cannot use the beater bar, it will ruin it the fibers. The strands are far too long, but that makes it great for comfort.  I have always had Safavieh New Zealand wool rugs in my home, these non-wool 'retro' shags are equally lovely and don't shed! BTW, when I unrolled it there was a postacard inside from Safavieh mentioning possible wrinkles and 'offgassing'. Mine had a faint but not unpleasant odor and a few wrinkles, both have gone away after 2 days.

 This couch has survived two moves, including one long-distance one, and has seated quite an assortment of bums up until recently since we were big entertainers pre-pandemic. It's not sagging, or threadbare, and shows only the slightest hints of fading nearing the decade mark, and that's after a long time positioned in front of a very sunny bay window. It didn't break the bank.

TL;DR - I am looking for a living room set (8-9 foot sofa/chaise and another 7 foot sofa) that will last at least 10 years and costs no more than 5 grand.

I recently got burned by Joybird - I guess I only saw the older pre Laz y Boy buyout reviews that all exclaimed how amazing the quality was. Mine didn't make it two months before the legs on one of the chairs started to collapse. 

Although it took a bit of back and forth, ultimately the return process and refund went smoothly enough. 

I found a review from like 8 years ago comparing a couple Ethan Allen and Sherrill couches which said the Ethan Allen couch started at $1500, while the Sherrill started at about $2k. I looked up that same Ethan Allen couch today to try and get a sense of where Sherrill fell and that EA couch is over FOUR GRAND!! It is nearly THREE TIMES the price it was 8 years ago! 

I'm just exhausted...I don't want to spend 10k on a couch! I want to be able to buy a couch outright, I don't want to finance it for the next 5 years. I've looked on Facebook and Craiglist, I can't find one that matches what I want. Delivery times are a million years on new stuff, and all in all, I just want a comfortable couch that will withstand plopping down on and a particularly scratchy cat and a not so clean all the time dog.
