 We've got a Rossignol Black Ops Stargazer for you today.

 This is the twin of the men's Escaper and Rossignol kind of puts it more in the free

 So there's not a whole lot going on in terms of the construction of the ski, but what they

 do with the shaping and the profile really make it stand out amongst, you know, a pretty

 This one here is the 154, 90 millimeters underfoot, and 12 meter turn radius.

 So right in that zone of being, you know, just wide enough to handle, you know, fresh

 and soft snow, but also narrow enough to be torsionally stiff enough to handle, you know,

 resort groomers, smoother, firmer snow, stuff like that.

 And then that shorter turn radius kind of mirrors the shortness of the ski.

 You know, as these get longer, they also get wider with a longer turn shape.

 So this just happens to be on the shorter side of the spectrum.

 Going to make pretty quick turns, but the lightweight and the, you know, nice, a little

 bit longer of the rocker profile, which I'll show you in a second, do make it easier to

 release from the turn, as well as just making it well-rounded and versatile enough to handle

 everything that the mountain can throw at you.

 So even though there's only that Polonia and that Diago fiber, these things are actually,

 you know, pretty stiff for how light they are.

 And that's a good thing for people that are looking for that upper, upper levels of performance

 without having too heavy of a ski, you know, without metal, you got to do something to

 And that fiber does a good job for, for Rossignol here.

 In terms of this profile, you know, we do get nice positive camber underfoot here.

 When you have a fairly simple construction, it's nice to be able to build something into

 That's where this camber comes in handy.

 And then in the tip, we do see a longer and lower start to the rocker profile, and then

 just a nice gradual curve to it, leading to a moderate splay here.

 So that, you know, due to the length of the rocker profile, it's not like it's a crazy

 bend to it at all, but because it's long, that leads to this greater distance here.

 That's going to be super helpful in the soft snow and deep snow, as it's going to allow

 the ski to plane up and float over, you know, more, you know, more deeper snow than a 90

 millimeter underfoot ski like this would generally indicate.

 We see some of the same theory going on in the tail.

 Rocker starts about here and very gradual to the end, pretty minimal splay.

 If you were to put a skin on this ski here, it's nice to have that low splay, low rocker

 to help the skin stay on the snow and give you better traction on the uphill.

 And then for taper, not a whole, nothing real crazy here, you know, pretty standard stuff

 in terms of the tail shape there, a little bit of a bump out at the end here.

 That's going to give you good energy into the next turn when combined with that positive

 camber underfoot, as well as the Diago fiber that Rossignol uses.

 So really just a smart way of building a ski, you know, supremely versatile, we just get
