Insane amount of fun, very well-designed device that has a large amount of flexibility and heavy sounds (plus you can add your own). The filters and tweaks are great, it was hard to be disappointed with such an inexpensive and magical instrument.

I think this device could seriously use an actual critical review other than a 5-star "it's the best" because that's not 100% true. If you're new to all this stuff, and your ears haven't heard 808 open hats for 20 years, and you want a DAWless experience, I highly recommend this. If you've been around the block and really know what you're getting into, price just doesn't match the value of product IMO -- it's just a very, very fancy toy. Really nice sounds for a good price. Really surprised by this groove box from Roland. I was looking to improve the quality of my beats and was searching for a nice addition to my Korg M3 and Radias. The sounds are really good and up to date

I would have given it a 5 if it was full poly but hey, can’t get it all for this price point.
