Spend a few more bucks and stay away from this device especially if you are just a beginner. Btw, I had bought this device 3 years ago yet I had not used it. Such a disappointment!

This is my dream come true (a top-line keybed for lowest price possible). The oboard sounds are pretty ass, but I dont use on-board sounds, dont sequence on the keyboard, dont need a built in audio/midi-usb device, dont need "bluetooth" connections, dont need onboard speakers, etc. Just give me the nice 88-key keybed with a midi out, and I am golden. I cant believe this is real

So, latelly I've been thinking of buying a digital piano to begin learning how to play for real. I've played on a keyboard but never really tried to learn the instrument properly, just learned some songs from time to time (the keyboard belongs to my older brother but he no longer uses it). I'm probably going to sell the keyboard so I can get a little more confortable regarding costs (and, even so, there's not a lot of room for more expensive stuff).

I asked him what some of his favorite features were prior to submitting this review as I am not the pianist in the family.

I'd suggest not agonizing about the sound engine. Both vendors are more than OK so in the same price points, your ability as a player is going to be more important, which takes me to the keybed, THIS is what connects your playing to the sound..
