Complexity

Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island
Daily Discussion and Game Recommendations Thread (November 24, 2021)
So far I have looked at Legends of Andor, Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, and The Adventures of Robin Hood for example, but I'm not crazy about their reliance on scenario expansions although I could still be convinced. **Number of Players:** Most importantly should work well with 3 players. **Game Length:** 30-90 minutes. **Complexity of Game:** Around 2.0-3.0 but could be higher as long as the session length doesn't go up.
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Hasbro teases Betrayal at House on the Hill: 3rd Edition
The second edition was supposed to help clean up the many, many errors and errata in the first edition. 2016 then brought us the first expansion, Widow’s Walk. However, both the second edition and the expansion still had issues with errors and production issues as well (like the health trackers)

Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island Review
I don’t know if Robinson Crusoe is as difficult as Ghost Stories, but losses definitely hit you harder since games are so much longer and you put so much effort into them. Final Thoughts. It might not be the best choice if you are new to cooperative board games, but Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island is a wildly entertaining game for those that give themselves some time to become familiar with it

Betrayal at House on the Hill: Third Edition review – Horror board game’s greatest and messiest hits
ded, the game still has its fair share of duds. The handful of haunts I experienced firsthand while writing this review were fairly average. None of them have been as miserably simple as the ‘kill these spiders’ kind - though there are a few of those featured in Third Edition - but they’ve not reached the kind of creative heights found in the Widow’s Walk expansion released for Betrayal’s previous edition

Betrayal at House on the Hill
Full of evil content
We got this for Christmas in hopes it would be a fun monster like game. Instead it us packed full of evil such as a possession, demons, a ouji board, a pentagram etc. I advise no one to purchase this game. Ours is currently sitting in the garbage at the end of the driveway.

Betrayal at House on the Hill
My Favorite Board Game is a Disaster and I Don't Care
It’s not a deck builder, 4X, or area control game that requires to have preexisting knowledge of the game. Betrayal is a simple game that welcomes players of every skill level and age (pending thematic content) for a night of pulp horror stories, murder, and a lot of laughs. It’s certainly not the ideal game for everyone, especially those in search of heated competition, but it does allow anyone to join which immediately makes it a winner in my book

Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island
Best co-op game EVER!
This is the best co-op board game I have ever played. It is an extremely deep game with lots of options and replay ability. My children 11, 7 and 6 love this game but would not be able to play it without an adult to help guide them along. For those who like team games this is a must.

Betrayal at House on the Hill
Great Game! Lots of Possibilities, Maybe not for Everyone.
So this is likely my favorite board game. I bought a backup I like it so much. The playability is great as you build the house randomly and different every game. It takes a few games to get used to the flow, but when you do its pretty straightforward. It's usually a long game..1h+. For kids i just c...

Design

Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island
This game was designed to be a losing proposition.
I can just imagine all the copies of this game that were sold, attempted once and never played again. I think “Robinson Crusoe’s” hardships were much less brutal and punishing than those in this game, which gives an idea of how relentlessly punishing this game is. The “real” Crusoe was able to salva...

Betrayal At House On The Hill Review - The Thoughtful Gamer
Betrayal at House on the Hill, from any level-headed perspective, is a bad game. It’s very old-school in its design, with tons of dice rolling, character stats, and random events. It frequently completely falls apart when it should be getting interesting

Betrayal at House on the Hill
The perfect thickness
I was originally going to just give Betrayal a five star review and move on, but then Amazon asked me some followup questions. Is it easy to learn? Is it giftable? And thickness? And while anyone else reviewing the game might think "Thickness, WTF?," I'm right there with you Amazon. I want you, Dear...

Robinson Crusoe Review - with Tom Vasel
And now it's time for another diced, our review with Tom vassal, I think Robinson Crusoe is one of the great stories of fiction, and so I was really excited to hear about the game. The game itself plays fairly similar to the story of Robinson Crusoe, with the exception that there are multiple people...

Betrayal at House on the Hill
Great Game, Poor Quality
I would like to start by saying that Betrayal is one of my all time favorite games. If I'm rating this based on the overall gameplay, I would give it a 4/5 stars. Only 4 stars because, as many other reviewers have mentioned, there are many haunts that are lacking details that can make the gameplay r...
