I wanted to do a review on it because before I got it, I couldn't find anything on YouTube for this vest. And there's a few reviews for it on the REI page, but no outside reviews

 It fit me really well. I got the size extra small slash small because I'm a small human. It fit me high on my back. It didn't slosh around

REI swiftland hydro 5 review

 So I'm gonna try out this REI running vest. It's a 1.5 liter and I can't remember the model name, but it's the REI brand.

 The Swiftland, the Swiftland Hydro 5. I'm not gonna lie, I mostly bought this because this is one of my favorite colors.

 Don't buy performance things because of the colors. However, this thing worked really well.

 It was only two and a half miles, so I don't know as far as like chafing goes.

 I'm not somebody that has a big problem with chafing though, so I don't know if I'm one to speak on that.

 But the pros are it held my sweatshirt really well. Not that I needed it because it was humid as fuck in the main compartment.

 And then it holds a 1.5 liter hydro thing in its own compartment against your back.

 I'm looking around because I don't want people to think I'm crazy and talking to myself.

 It has little pouches on the front, which I put some gels in.

 And it has like an outer pouch too, which I left the directions in for the entire run.

 So it's got a lot of room in it. I think this bag might be a little extra for the type of running that I do.

 Oh, hold on, people are coming. Okay, I just closed my windows.

 I'm a thirsty runner, so I wanted to have something that I could either fill up the pouch or have water bottles with, which you can put in the front pockets.

 Also, I am a slow runner and I like to stop and take a lot of pictures and kind of take my time on the trails because I like to enjoy myself.

 So when I do those kinds of things, the runs last a lot longer, which means I get thirstier and I need more snacks.

 So I just got this little thing. I figured it'd be good for longer runs.

 And it would also be good for small day hikes to just put snacks and stuff in.

 And I love it. It fit me really well. I got the size extra small slash small because I'm a small human.

 It fit me high on my back. It didn't slosh around.

 As I did drink the water, it loosened up a little and started sloshing.

 But then you just tighten the little side strappies and it takes care of that.

 I'd say the only downside that I see so far is as I was running, the water definitely got warmer because it sits right on your back.

 But when I was doing my research for vests, that's just common amongst all of them from what I've found, read.

 Unless the ones that are like 150 bucks or 200 dollars, maybe they've solved that, but I can't afford that.

 This was pretty top and pricey for me, but I guess it's kind of like the lower end when it comes to price range for running vests.

 I think it was about, it was like 80 something dollars. I think with shipping it was like, or no, I got free shipping.

 I think with tax it ended up being like 97 dollars, which is a lot of money for me.

 Sorry not to think about it. It's cute, I got the color I wanted, and it works for me.

 I would definitely give this a good five stars so far, but again, I didn't do a long run.

 So we'll see how it goes on the longer runs, but I'm pumped. So yeah, bye.

I'm going to be looking at packs in the 5 liter to 10 liter capacity range and I've got them laid out behind me. So let's have a look at the packs in question. This is the Camelbak Zephyr, got the Harrier Kerber, The Innovate Race Pro Two in one, The Salomon Sense Pro 10 got The Ultimate Direction Ultravest Vs5, the Om Ultra 8, The Montane Gecko Vp5, plus seven different packs from different manufacturers

 and then same again for this pocket here. Well, we've got that double entrance to it. Um, in this side, I've just got a buff down below that we've got this zip big zip to this pocket. Uh, and I've got a phone in there

 on this side. Exactly the same as we've got on that one. and then same again for this pocket here. Well, we've got that double entrance to it

 Plenty of space in that pocket to get a foam that disappears right the way in there, so that's good in terms of fastening and tensioning the front. It's a simple system which has got a length of elastic that goes through hoops on this side and attached on this side. It's got a little just a little toggle there. you squeeze and pull through to adjust so you can tension it and then just let the tension off
