Normally, at $149.99 for a mouse, I'd call for something more feature-rich. But the fact of the matter is the Razer Viper Ultimate achieves everything it puts its mind to. How many of us can say that?

The Viper Ultimate takes one of my favorite competitive mice and removes the wire without compromise. By the transitive property, in my mind, that makes it one of the best gaming mice you can get. Plus, the fact that the wireless is paired with a quick, elegant wireless charging solution makes it a lot easier to stomach that top-of-the-line price.

 It also theoretically improves performance by eliminating "debounce delay," a trait of mechanical contacts that allows the circuit to record when physical contact within a switch is made and ensures your mouse doesn't make misclicks. That performance difference, if it exists, is negligible, so take that claim with a grain of salt. That said, the Viper Ultimate's switches are as comfortable to click as any high-end mechanical switch I've tried, so it isn't a loss, either.

Okay, so let's get to the good stuff&mdash;the wireless stuff. The Viper Ultimate connects to your PC using a 2.4GHz RF dongle. As we've seen throughout the year on mice like the Logitech G502 Lightspeed and the Corsair Ironclaw Wireless RGB, these connections generally work better than Bluetooth, providing a stable, nearly lag-free experience

 That being said, I think I can start with the mouse feet. For a mouse of this price from Razer, there really isn't a good reason that they haven't been improved yet. They're thin, scratchy, and glide poorly. If you're buying the Viper Ultima, I would suggest you add a set of aftermarket skates to your order immediately to get the most from your purchase

 Firstly, Availability 2020 and 21 has seen availability become a major factor when considering tech purchases whether it's Gpus, Next Generation Consoles, final Mouse Drops, or even something like the latest G Wolves, Rts Wireless products are getting more and more difficult to reliably find. There is absolutely a premium in knowing that the Razer Viper Ultimate is available on demand from almost any major retailer or online store, and as a consequence is easy to replace or return if you have any quality control issues. Next positive would be the real price. Now this comes with a caveat: I don't think 150 Msrp advertised is a good deal for this mouse, but the reason I'd suggest this is positive is because I don't think I've seen the standard black edition sold at that price in months, with it selling as low as 99 us dollars with the dock on Amazon in September 2021

Razer Viper Ultimate Review, 2 years at the TOP or WASHED champ? Honest thoughts in 2022

 You can test this online.  + This is my first wireless mouse and I'm pleased to say that wireless feels just as responsive as wired mode. VERY nice to not have to deal with a wire anymore and not have any downsides.  + Good customization within Synapse such as button programming, lighting, power-saving mode threshold, custom DPI, lift-off distance, etc

  - Just a few days in and, though still good, the mouse wheel has slightly lost some of it's snappiness in it's scroll and the left and right clicks have developed a slight give. Somewhat nitpicking here, but I would really hate it if the mouse felt like crap to use in just a few months. For the price, this things should be rock solid for years and not develop that mushy cheapness.  - Didn't think I would, but I constantly press the sidebuttons on the right side when I'm aiming (I use it in my right hand)

5/10 (subjective and also still getting used to the shape so likely to go up, but hitting sidebuttons accidentally sucks - also my first ambidextrous)  Feedback: 8.5/10 (this will get lower if the shell quality doesn't hold and the snappiness diminishes)  Quality: 8/10 (mostly concerned about long-term quality here as left/right buttons already have some slight give/shake to them after a few days of use and the scroll doesn't feel like it's going to hold it's feeling of precision and snappiness in it's steps - otherwise though, pretty solid)  Software: 7/10 (good options but a little too bloated - can thankfully choose which software you'd like to install)  Value: 7/10 (I got it on sale for $120 but I think it's worth more around $100 - if it was perfect for my hand and grip, $120 would be kind of okay maybe, however twice the price of the wired is high enough - full price is simply too much and in the end, I might come to regret not just buying two $60 mice and a bungee)  Currently, this mouse is hovering around an 8 or 8.5/10 for me. This is likely to go up to a 9 with use and as I get used to it's size and shape, just as long as quality and performance stays the same as it is now

They were good but the small profile and side buttons on viper ultimate were quite small and position bit weird (hard to press side buttons, had to squeeze to press correctly) and deathadder has nice side buttons but it's bit big for my hand.

If you&rsquo;re like me, you spend a lot of time using gaming gear for productivity purposes. Often, it&rsquo;s the cheapest way to get your hands on gear that approaches professional level features. Razer, known mostly for its gaming peripherals, now wants to address people like you and me by taking the features it&rsquo;s known for in its gaming products and translating them to a line meant specifically for productivity.
Enter the Razer Pro Click Mini. This mouse is the second productivity focused pointer from Razer, and features quieter switches and a smaller footprint than the first. But unlike other productivity focused mice, it&rsquo;s also got a high max DPI (12,000), a 1,000 Hz polling rate, 7 programmable buttons, and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity. Plus, it&rsquo;s got 5 onboard memory profiles and you can remap buttons, including the 4-way tilt wheel with both infinite and ratcheted scrolling, in Razer Synapse. 
That makes this an especially powerful contender for the office, with lots of versatility and highly responsive input, although its sleek gray and white exterior and comfortable ergonomics mean it&rsquo;s still at home in your boss&rsquo; line of sight.
It&rsquo;s a bit of a shame that it uses AA batteries instead of being rechargeable, then, especially since those batteries do make it a touch heavier. But with a purported 465 hours of 2.4GHz battery life and 725 hours of Bluetooth battery life, it&rsquo;s easy to just stuff this in your bag and forget about it for months on end.

For a portable option that focuses on the ability to take work and play just about anywhere, we recommend the Razer Pro Click Mini, a travel version of the Razer Pro Click. This mouse is more compact than the regular Pro Click and has a symmetrical shape, which is great whether you're right or left-handed. It feels very well-built, features multi-device pairing with up to four devices, has nearly silent buttons, and has rubberized side grips. Its scroll wheel has left and right tilt inputs, and you can toggle the scroll wheel between a precise notched scrolling mode or a free-scrolling mode, a feature the original Pro Click lacks. Uniquely, you can choose to power this mouse with either one or two AA batteries, though using one will give you less than Razer's advertised max battery life of 700 hours.

While this isn't a dedicated gaming mouse, Razer's focus as a gaming mouse manufacturer is clear. Not only does it have outstanding sensor performance and remarkably low click latency, but it also has a maximum polling rate of 1000Hz and a wide CPI range. This mouse can deliver great gaming performance in any genre, which sets it apart from other productivity-focused travel options. For a cheaper and much more straightforward travel option, we recommend the Logitech Pebble M350. It doesn't have anywhere near the same level of performance and has only basic productivity features, but it's very slim and portable and is significantly less expensive.

The scroll wheel also has left and right tilt inputs, and you can toggle between a precise scrolling mode or a faster free-scrolling mode, which is a much-loved productivity feature absent on the larger version. It also has a compartment for storing the USB receiver, so you don't accidentally lose it in transit.

If you're looking for a work mouse that you can use on trains, between meetings, or anywhere else, we recommend the Razer Pro Click Mini. It's an excellent portable productivity option thanks to its compact, symmetrical shape, making it easy to slip into laptop bags or even your pocket. It feels very sturdy, and its scroll wheel has both left and right inputs and a free-scrolling mode. You can connect it wirelessly with a USB receiver or via Bluetooth and pair it with up to four devices simultaneously. It also has a lengthy advertised battery life of up to 465 hours when using two AA batteries. This mouse also has great sensor performance and click latency, so it can do double duty as a compact gaming mouse when you're finished working.

Unfortunately, while it has a symmetrical shape, it isn't a truly ambidextrous design, as there are only side buttons on the left. Also, this mouse is too small to comfortably use if you have extra-large hands. If you're looking for something much simpler, we recommend the Logitech Pebble M350. It doesn't approach the same level of performance or have the same wealth of features, but it has a very slim profile and is also significantly cheaper.

Instead of the Pro Click's right-handed ergonomic design, the white-and-gray Mini has an ambidextrous shape (though to my eyes it's curved just a bit to favor righties). It doesn't break any new ground but it's easy to hold, with gently indented, rubberized sides and barely perceptible ridges on its left and right edges. The Razer name is lettered on top but the bag-of-snakes logo and RGB lighting of the firm's gaming mice are absent.&nbsp;

The Pro Click Mini approximately doubles the Pro Click's battery life, with Razer estimating you'll get up to 465 hours from two AAs with a 2.4GHz link or 725 hours with Bluetooth. The battery gauge in Razer's Synapse 3 software barely budged during my week of testing; I used mostly 2.4GHz with a few hours' trials with Bluetooth, both working seamlessly

The thing is one of the most comfortable mice I've ever had the pleasure of using. Same level of comfort as the MX Master 3. It doesn't have as many buttons as the MX Master 3, but it sure does feel just as good.
