Meet the Razer Viper Mini, the best budget ultra-lightweight mouse we've tested. Based on the original Razer Viper, this mouse is smaller and slightly lighter, but it feels just as sturdy as its larger counterpart.

Its click latency is outstanding, meaning gaming will feel responsive no matter the genre. Though the sensor isn't quite as good as the full-sized model, it still offers a low lift-off distance and a fairly wide CPI range, within which you can find a sensitivity setting that suits your play style. Using the companion software you can reprogram all of its buttons, and you can adjust the sensor settings and customize the RGB lighting to suit your preferences. However, the software isn't available on macOS. Although, you can save your settings to the mouse's onboard memory using a PC and carry them across to other devices without the software installed.

But also the Viper Mini fills my hand better because of the hump, the DA V2 Mini’s shape feels much flatter in my hand. In the end it comes down to whether or not you prefer symmetrical or asymmetrical shapes. The “improved” cable may or may not please the ones who complained about cable drag on the Viper Mini, but Razer has been doing a great job of listening to us so far, and I am sure they will consider reverting back to the old braid if people don’t like the new one.

Switches were really light, but still an amazing budget choice for a gaming mouse.

I have been using Viper Mini with 400 DPI/1000Hz and a 55cm/360 sensitivity (arm aimer) and I did not feel any drastic difference in LOD after the new firmware but rather it feels a bit more accurate sort of, someone stated as mouse being "not as floaty" but for me it might as well be just placebo. I have been maining the Viper Mini from release and never felt the LOD being too high, it never was an issue in-game for me. I do lift off my mouse quite a bit while playing but never had any major issues with the LOD, only when "testing the LOD" it might have felt a bit too high. After the new firmware I feel that the difference is rather more accurate feeling of the sensor and for me it made the mouse ever so slightly more better which it already is

Viper / DA Mini LOD Improvement - Results

The clicks were mushy and not great, they put me off the mouse, but I loved the clicks of my  viper mini, I saw online their hotswap and decided to swap them over to see if it fixed the issue and it did!. I now have an amazing Viper Ultimate, and one crappy Viper mini with mushy clicks!

Not sure if people know, but you can easily swap Viper mini switches into your Viper Ultimate.

Any USB-C cable we ship to customers will need to be safe and compliant with USB-IF specs. This means the cable will need to support 3A current, much thicker gauge and much thicker shielding. As most of you would know - non-compliant cables are a major pain point for retailers and the industry... [Amazon routinely bans brands that sell non-standard cables.](https://techcrunch.com/2016/03/29/amazon-bans-the-sale-of-rogue-usb-c-cables/) Using a non-compliant cable is NOT an option for Razer. With micro-USB, we can continue to offer the speedflex cables (that we ship with our mice now). Of course, we do understand plugged-in use is not the dominant case for wireless mice.

Sidenote : USB-C does not automatically mean fast-charging as some people assume. Almost none of the USB-C mice on the market till date have actual fast charging. The charging current is well below what micro-USB can provide (500mA).


**Question 2 : 50h battery that charges in 1 hour vs 70h battery that charges in 2.5 hours.**

For the same weight, those are the 2 options available. Batteries that allow faster absorption require bigger anodes/cathodes, and hence lower capacity. Alternatively, for the same weight you could have battery with smaller anodes/cathodes, slower absorption rates but higher capacity. For mouse charging purposes, USB-C vs micro-USB has no bearing on charging speed. See sidenote above.

Most of our wireless rechargeable mice use optical switches. To allow the mouse to wake up from sleep using mouse-click, the switch/LED needs to be ON to detect the input. Based on our 2019 focus groups, people DID notice the lack of click-of-wakeup feature, so we decided to keep the feature. However, seeing as people complain about the "days between recharges" as one of their pain points compared to other mechanical switch mice, I'm opening this up for feedback again if people are willing to live with the requirement to move the mouse to wake it up. Do note that it IS very much possible to click mice without moving them what so ever.

 There is no side, flex, top flex or bottom flex and absolutely no cracking in hand the mouse feels available than premium, but it definitely should feel like that, because it's not really a lightweight mouse, as it weighs around 80 grams on my scale. The way it is well balanced, though - and i don't really mind it - in-game - that much i would still prefer it to be around 70 grams, though the main most part is the waxy outside ax are using the huano switches. I have to say that for gaming these are one of the best clicks i have ever tried. The actuation is very easy and the clicks still feel tactile and soft

 You can see that my palm does not touch the mouse pad at all and my fingers are quite bent on the front edge of the mouse. I prefer the first two crypt styles, but i do also dabble with the third one, and i strongly believe that this is not as much of a palancroot mouse, as you might think, especially if you have medium to large hands. I myself can't palm this mouse at all with 19 times 10 centimeter hands. What we will see more is some kind of hybrid grips between palm and claw

 What mostly changes between these creep stars is how much of my palm is touching the mouse, and how till that? My wrist is when i'm talking about floor tilt. Pincher creeping the mouse, my wrist is quite a bit tilted and the biggest contact with my parliament, the most is on the right side of my palm. When i'm talking about claw teal gripping the mouse, there is more contact with my palm and the mouse, and my wrist is not that tilt.  For a  longer hand like mine, the size of the hump is perfect, filling it out  exactly how I want it to and not overlapping where my knuckles are. This  allows me to have the stability of a palm grip while also allowing for  better freedom of movement with my fingers.

This  is where this mouse completely shines and the main reason I've been  blown away. To me this mouse is the epitome of a claw shape mouse.  I personally don't find it super comfortable to claw the DeathAdder. The EC2, on the other hand, I think is really comfortable to claw by comparison, and then this mouse is somewhere in the middle, but at least for the way that I like to hold mice, this is great, and there are improvements for me versus the EC2 in some ways because of that extra width and because of that extra height just feeling your hand. So there are similarities in that it's in an ergonomic shape, but differences in the way it actually feels in your hand, but yeah, if this, if you think this would appeal. Now I've got to mention one thing

0 and the 2.0 in size, or if they ever make just an EC2 that's a little bit wider, at that point, I'm going to have a really difficult choice about which one to use, but I've kind of been switching over to this one, and I really like it a lot, and I would highly recommend it, at least if you grip mice the way I do. Originally, I remember in one of my older videos, I talked about how you can claw something like a DeathAdder. I've kind of had to reconsider that

 Compared to the EC2, because I imagine that this is the comparison that a lot of people are quite curious about. So the Vaxi Outset AX, it's a little bit shorter lengthwise from top to bottom than the EC2. I find I haven't really minded that because the way that I like to hold mice, and I have about 19.0, it actually only has a small handful of mice at this point, and they're a relatively recent company

 But I like it a lot, and I really like how the wheel is recessed on this shape. I don't think I like the clicks as much as some other reviewers, but they are very good. Now I'm going to be torn between which of these to use every day, but I'm happy to add this to my collection. Anyway, thank you for your time, and have a good one
