Razer Basilisk V3 vs Zowie FK2

* albeit this does provide grip, it just feels kindof weird to be gripping basically 900 grit sandpaper while playing games or doing stuff

This mouse is very low and narrow, making it impossible for larger hands to keep off of the mouse pad. There are obviously people who like this mouse a lot I just can't comprehend someone with my size hand using this over something like the EC1-A. Also, Zowie not giving you the ability to use all the buttons on the mouse at the same time is a really strange decision. No software also sounds like a good thing until it's set up left-handed out of the box (a return probably) so I have to download a PDF just to find out that you need to hold a series of buttons on the mouse while plugging it in to switch from left-handed to right-handed which is just silly in 2019

3 grams heavier than the original g703 at 98 grams (although the manual states its around 90 grams and the amazon page puts it at 95) but I'm sure my weight is accurate as I used it to weigh my Razer basilisk x hyperspeed and rival 3 wireless.

The **cable** on the M42 is the **Xtrfy EZCord** ([[URL REMOVED] which is basically the same cable as on the M4. It's **very thick** and **not exactly flexible**. The tried and true Avago 3310 optical sensor is on board for tracking, and it does a seriously great job. I just got a Razer Basilisk V2 and I'm a bit torn on whether to return it or not. I'm coming from a Zowie EC1 evo, which I've loved but I've felt is a bit small for me. Don't think my hands are especially big (19/12cm) but I wanted to try something larger now that my Zowie started double-clicking.

So yeah, overall I've given it 4/5 simply because ideally I would have liked it to be ever so slightly heavier and fitted for a right handed player, but of course, these are just personal preferences. I'm happy with the purchase anyway.

I don't play competitive FPS anymore, so I can't talk much about its accuracy or performance but it definitely didn't hinder my play at all. It is way more comfortable than the G903 (obviously), and I feel as if I can hold it all day using a claw grip. The wire doesn't get intrusive, and this is coming from someone who used a wireless mouse primarily before! All in all, this mouse really fit, and exceeded, my needs.

It is lacking when it comes to the mouse wheel and the side buttons are simply "meh." -1 star for the mouse wheel. Great mouse otherwise.

2 The Thumb rest is a bit over engineered, pro-longed sessions of the user might result in soreness of the side of the thumb from sitting on the resting spot, it has no padding of any kind to mitigate this. just a thin textured rubber surface. 3 DPI this is the first mouse I've used that does not allow dynamic Up and/or Down on the fly adjustment, it is just sequential 1,2,3,4 and 5. you cannot go up 2, then down 1

-No annoying third-party software needed to change the DPI settings. There's a switch on the bottom of the mouse that changes between a few different DPI presets.
