We walk away from the Rains Backpack with a few key take-aways, not least of which are the less-than-ideal shoulder straps and its fiddly adjustment, the subpar internal visibility for this black variant, and the interior pocket’s zipper that was prone to jamming. It’s not all bad, though, as we still think that the styling’s appeal still holds up.

Our experience with the harness system wasn’t the most comfortable—especially when the bag was heavily loaded. The thin straps offered no cushion and dug into our shoulders, making it tiresome to carry for long periods. Plus, the shoulder straps took time to re-adjust, requiring us to take off the entire pack whenever we needed to—a problem we seldom encountered in other backpacks with more typical strap adjusters.

Coming to the bottom of the shoulder straps, we seem to have a pretty old-school latch system here, that's very different to the typical pull and fast and ladder locks that are on most backpacks

 They both have the same features they both can fit up to a 13-inch laptop in their laptop sleeves. The main difference is their size and volume capacity. Obviously, the backpack is a bigger bag. At 13 liters in volume capacity, the backpack Mini, is a smaller bag

 You have a lot of attachment points for whatever you might want to put on here. You still have this little velcro attachment, which is nice for keys, and then you have a couple different, strap options at the bottom here, so this is how the bag rides when it is on my body, if you are used to sling bags, this one is very Comfortable, however, if you are not that used to it and you are used to to strap system, the chances are, this might take a little bit to get used to if you are wearing this thing all day. One thing that does come in handy is this extra strap along the side here. If you bring this across and buckle it in the front, it sort of takes a lot of weight off of your shoulder

 This compartment is basically completely flat. It is just two pieces held together with a zipper. This works fine and all I've used it quite a bit, but this system is much better, as you can see here with the new and improved grab handle on here, they've beefed this up a little bit in this entire section sort of expands out now, I would Say you have a solid like 2 inches or so of extra material on here, and what that allows you to do is carry a wider weapon in here, [, Music ]. One thing that I personally didn't like when carrying a gun like this in the smaller transit, is that it kind of bulks out a little bit when you're carrying that thing on your back for a while with a wide weapon in here

 So you have the transit as the smallest and then you can bump up to the commuter or the commuter XL. If you want something a little bit larger for the most part today we're going to be focusing on the commuter bag. This is right in the middle, like I said, these all have relatively the same features, and I think this one is the easiest to show you guys what changes have actually been made to this new 2.0 line now before we get into this bag

 Um, the zipper goes like this. in kind of a horseshoe pattern. I have mine. it's got two zippers

 When I have it on, I wear it fairly tight, as tight as I can without drawing it, so I'm definitely going to notice if someone tries to pull it off and it's hard to cut the straps on this bag. As you can see, it's not like a purse where it might be kind of just dangling on one shoulder. So you have to protect it with your life because you're literally your life could depend on or the life of somebody else. So you have to protect it with your life

 Just think about some of those things. Um, when you're doing it if you commute. Great option I think for you, that's it. for offbody carry

Off-Body Carry Bag - Vertx Transit

 If you're looking for a sling to carry a laptop I would go with the commuter sling instead. My 14" Lenovo x1 Carbon ThinkPad is pretty small and barely fits. I usually just keep a tablet, a few notebooks, and a minimal amount of EDC gear in the bag, so it works for me. The grey plastic strap hinge makes me nervous

Quality Bag But Vertx Delivery Times Need Improvement

 You simply push your thumb into it. Then it will break free from your body and you can go about doing whatever you need to do now. Will I ever have to use this bag? Chances are probably not for the most part. I have it on me as a convenience

 So now I have absolutely nothing in my waistband or in my pockets. Everything that I want to have with me is now in this front pocket the zippers for this compartment do also run all the way up here, underneath his grab handle. So if you want to be extra secure - and you don't want anyone pulling this thing down while it is on your back, you can run them all the way up and then once they're at the top there. This grab handle kind of covers where the zippers are

 This way could really help you out. Maybe if you go to the gym or you're going to the beach or the pool or someplace, where you can't wear your typical jeans and belt when you're going to a place where you want to have all of your regular items on you, maybe even a little Bit extra, but you don't really have the place to put it. This bag is perfect for stuff, like that. So in the past, the other bag that I had set up to do something like this was my vertex commuter sling
