Purple Double Seat Cushion vs Sidiz T50

Purple comes up quite often when you look at ways to support the body, from bedding to cushions, you can usually see them come up when you are looking for relief. Having a chair with a pretty terribly designed seat pan, I wanted a way extend the use of the chair. Looking for options, this Purple cushion came up quite a bit and the marketing materials checked all my use boxes. So did the cushion help, well, yes it did

The biggest thing (in addition to the hard seat) is the chair is not designed for you to sit up straight (there's a little lag when you try to sit up straight and basically you end up sitting away from the chair and I started to get a little bit of neck pain). I realized that the chair is designed for you to lean back on the headrest as you type, but for one, I am not used it, and two the seat cushion is not flush and comfortable enough to support such posture. So it's not all that comfortable leaning back nor is it comfortable trying to sit forward. They have a follow up model to this chair called T50 Air (which has a mesh seat cushion) but they are not available in the States yet (Sidiz has a USA website but they don't sell directly and instead they sell through Amazon)

I have tried it on a variety of chairs and it it slips on them all. I feel that the fabric used for the cover should be: a) more substantial (while it is a nice, stretchy, knit it is a bit thin) and b) have a much beefier, much more ‘non slip’ fabric on the bottom of the cover. I may make a new cover for I myself. I also think that a sturdier cover would increase the comfort factor since it would minimize the feeling of the gridded purple material

Update 3/16/2022 - I have had this chair less than a year now and use it every day since I work from home. Originally, the chair was very comfortable, but now less than a year of usage, the seat foam has compressed to the point when it is almost like sitting on a hard board. After only a short time of sitting, I have to continuously get up as by behind starts to hurst and gets sore. I purchased this because of the good reviews and for the reasonable price, though not inexpensive

I bought a chair for my office to enhance the decor of my room than for comfort and the Purple seat cushion has made my office chair so much more comfortable when I work from my home office! I am so happy with it! Thank you for such a quality product.

I could pick which one I like in one shot. Also I was thinking I may want to go firm some days and softer other days. My thoughts: - It's expensive!! But is it worth it? Keep in mind that every ergonomic, high quality office chair nowadays is way overpriced. This is a $300 chair that's going for ~$450. The Leap v2 is a $450 chair that is going for $1000+, etc. So if you buy any decent chair now you're overpaying unfortunately
