Handle is crooked on mine, but still makes good coffee. I think I like the flavor or a glass French press better, but this isn’t as precious and I like that.

Makes a big pot of scalding hot brew, strong but not bitter, and all the subtle notes perfectly discernible. Its basket, which forces coffee to pool and go through the sides after hot water fires out of a compact central shower seems to be the ticket. We added a paper filter to the basket to slow that even further, and the result is a cup to rival the 4 minute pour-through at your swankiest local shop! Yummy. Cheap

This product works fine, but the paint started chipping after 3 weeks of use. With a French press, I bought this for aesthetics over function as most units perform at a similar level. Disappoint about the paint, but it works fine. 3 stars

So if you like your coffee black add more stars, and the lighter you like your coffee the less you will like this Salton coffee maker.
