but huge bummer that it arrives damaged. You need to order additional ink cartridges or a bottle because the ink it comes with will be exploded and unusable due to the rigors of shipping.

My approach will be to use a lathe and a cutoff tool to cut the cap off the barrel. If this lets me refill it, I'll put a favorite blue ink in it (probably Herbin's Eclat de Saphir or Private Reserve's DC Supershow Blue), glue on a new cap, and start using it again. I bet it will work!

I actually want to like this pen. If this pen performed the way it feels this would be my go to pen. However, I did say if. As it turns out, it writes just OK but not what I would call good

**Platinum Plasir** - this is basically a preppy with a more durable non transparent design. I really enjoy this pen because it is just a preppy that is more attractive and durable.

**Pilot Metropolitan** - pretty good, better ones for the price. I bought my metro for 15$ and was kind of satisfied.

If you are looking for colorful fountain pens which come with the ink and are disposable for projects, these are the best bang for your buck!

Pros: - Feels really good weight wise (very hefty for a pen). - Top Cover / top clicks very nicely to the base (feels very good to play with while thinking). - Fancy (10 points for Gryffindor?) - Easy to refill (I'm using the cartridges, takes 15 seconds to swap out the cartridge and makes very little, if any mess doing so). - Replacement cartridges are cheap (12 for ~$6), runs about the same (maybe a little less) than a pack of ballpoint pens

So I'm the kind of person where if the pen/pencil doesn't feel good, I won't write with it all. This has re-placed my G2-pilot 10 gel pen for most used pen.
