 \- Preferably around or under 50 USD. I'm not sure if I want to spend $100 or $200 on a pen, at least not yet.

 \- Won't make a mess. I've stumbled across Fountain Pens during my research, and apparently you have to position them the right way when carrying them around or else they could create a mess. While I am open to fountain pens as an option, I would appreciate it if there were other alternatives.

Good Pens for a Student in College?

 Yes, he just very varied. It'S like right here, it's the very first place. The pen like lays down ink. That'S where the smearing happens

So it's that one area where it gets a little extra ink deposited because it's the beginning and you can see - there's not a lot of it, but that's that's what smudges it's the very very, very, very, very first pot you put your pen down is what smears So bear that in mind left these, that it is pretty much equipped dry ink, except for that one spot might need a little bit more drying

 I guess real downside is that if you look at the price on target like ten bucks for the five they're $ 2.00, a gel pen that is on the expensive side, especially considering that they are like target gel pens, i'll check out cost breakdowns more. When I do the big comparison, but cost wise, these are pricier than other gel pens you can get. Yes, I need to find out what the refill cost is for that thunderdome to find out how like the appreciates overtime, it might not be the correct word for that

Those Sharpie S-GEL ones are surprisingly good. Though the whole "no smudge" ink doesn't work on receipt paper (or anything with a similar gloss finish), They're great value for money.

Best Pen At Walmart?

 I don't like the weight of the pen, for some reason my wrist starts to hurt if I write too long. Usually I write a few words and put it back. I mostly like to look at it and appreciate the gift, then put it carefully away. In terms of writing with it, I don't really like it

I am not partial to any type of pen/ink per say, but I do need it to be quick drying enough so that while flipping through pages and making notes there is no smearing or bleeding (most of the writing is on regular pinter paper or in my moleskine pocketbook.

Looking through different types of pens, I found the BigIDesign pens that take hundreds of different refills. Seems like a great fit for testing out inks that I may want to stick to. However it nearly looks like the grip is of similar size as my fisher clutch, so maybe too big on the click models. Also the pens are stupid expensive in Canada through 3rd party resellers (at least the ones I found)

This being said, before I keep on splurging on my quest to find the right pen, I figured I also need to consider ink types / cartridges.

 It's just a convenient place to keep it so it doesn't get lost at the bottom of a pocket on my bag.

I'm pretty picky about my pens. Not enough to shell out for really properly expensive pens, but I have my favorite brands (e.g. the Uni-Ball Signo pens; Pilot Precise rollerballs will do in a pinch)

 These are really nice! They're a pleasure to write with, very smooth, and the ink is nice and dark. They also have an unusually "professional" look to them, which is really nice; I may actually switch to using primarily these, especially if and when I have to actually work in an office again. I initially got them in 0.7/medium just to try out, will try the finer point ones in the near future
