It really depends what your definition of cool is, but if overclocking is part of the equation, I will have to say this kit will blow you out of the water. I was able to take it from DDR4-3200 to DDR4-4000 Prime95 stable with a slight relaxation of timings. This represents a rather impressive 25% overclock, a figure that I have not been excited for since the late 2000s with the OZZ ReaperX HPC enhanced bandwidth. Of course, I cannot guarantee this will be the case for all Patriot Vipersteel RGB DDR4-3200 kits you buy off the shelf, but at the very least, there is good potential you can get lucky with the Spectac integrated circuits inside

Simple Questions - February 16, 2022

 Rebooted and straight to desktop at 4400mhz at rated timings. No issues, no hiccups. Ran a few tests. No issues

  I've got an AMD 5800X to swap in but wanted to see what this memory does with my current CPU. I think I may dig a little deeper..

How To Get Better Timings Than DOCP/XMP

This product will be best used to upgrade a pre-built or something similar from single channel to dual channel well, and it does that well, but if you're just getting a single ram stick I'd go for 2 4gb sticks or if you can 2 8gb sticks because dual channel runs it way better

Once you have successfully reset the CMOS and have default Bios proceed to step (2)  ***DON'T OVERCLOCK YOUR CPU FIRST! START WITH THE RAM!*** 2 - Set BLK frequency to 100 if it is not already set to 100. Make sure you're in DRAM settings and not CPU settings

  STEP W: Ok, we have a starting point, now we can adjust our timings! **IF** you had instant success at hitting 4000Ghz, set your timings to 15-15-15-35 CR2 And attempt boot. If this works, lower until it is unsuccessful at boot and revert back to the lowest successful post. Fine tune for stability and run tests to ensure your configuration is successful. Now you can overclock your cpu

I don't know much about RAM and this was my first build, so I was nervous about making this purchase after reading other reviews. But I really liked the sleek, no-RGB look here and it seems like these are much cheaper than RAM of comparable speeds from other brands. I bought 2x8gb 4400mHz.  The negative reviews appear to focus on the cheaper (lower speed) end of the lineup and it looks like this could be related to a manufacturing difference between the 4000+ speeds and the rest

 Turned on my system and let the system run at default setting in Bios because I added more ram, and I wanted to run basic tests to make sure the ram was working and not damaged or dead. Everything checked out okay. All ram was seen by the system and was stable at current ram speed. Although I found it strange that the base ram speed was around 1800Mhz at default and not 2133 Mhz

 So, I decided to buy another ram kit, but the red kit was out of stock, but the kit with the black heat spreader was in stock and was a few bucks cheaper. Went ahead and ordered it, and installed it on my system. Not all ram has the same chips. Buyer Beware!

 Once again I have not tried to overclock this memory, but it my system is running stable with 32 gigs of this memory installed with XMP 2.0 settings via the bios. Overall I'd recommend this ram on price alone, there are a lot more expensive ram out there, with different memory manufacturers. If you need something that works without much hassle, pick up this ram

I purchased this set mainly because of price, at the time of purchase I could not find much information in regards to this ram. They come in the standard no frills packaging, install was a breeze like any other ram modules. Set XMP settings in the bios and checked the speed, they are operating at 3600MHz with a Ryzen 3900X processor in a x570 Taichi Motherboard. After checking what type of memory they are, I found that I received Micron E-die memory

  I can probably overclock it manually, but that's a lot of trouble and trial and error. I would prefer the XMP profile work to save me the hassle.  Your mileage may vary. You might get lucky and the XMP works under stress (the gold standard test is Prime95 -if you fail prime, your system is not stable no matter what the hardcore OC people tell you

 No, I was getting random freezes and crashes with XMP turned on under everyday use conditions  Therefore, I can't really recommend this kit (for Ryzen at least). I gave it 3 stars because it works fine at 2133Mhz (default) frequency and because it is a Samsung die. All in all, I would stick to using this kit with Intel, you'll probably have better luck there.  EDIT: After a day or two of testing, I decided to manually adjust the RAM to 3400Mhz

XMP May Not Work With Ryzen 3000 Series

 What did we learn so in some games? It actually didn't do much in other games. It did increase performance, but cinebench confirms that, overall, there is some sort of improvement in cpu performance. So to sum up, i do recommend corsair vengeance. Lpx i've had many versions of these ram kits and they've all been fine, as always guys check that your ram is supported by your motherboard before you actually buy it

Do performance review now because, obviously there's a very boring video if it was just an unboxing, so we're gon na actually test the ram out and we'll see if the ram speed actually affects the system performance.  Um so does ram speed increase performance. Yes, it does. In short, in my case it doesn't really make that much difference, so my advice to you is to get the fastest round that you can afford. Don'T worry too much about it

Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600MHz DDR4 Ram 64GB - Unboxing and Review | Does ram speed matter?

 I took a look at the Ram through Taiphon Burner and Zen Timings to find out that Corsair had changed the die from Hynix to Micron and the orientation was changed from 2 rank to 1 rank. This change has caused the RAM not to hit 3200 because the chip type in which they switched to is of poor quality. I wouldn't suggest buying from Corsair as long as they continue to use cheaper quality chips that cannot hit the advertised speed.
